Olive and Clive took care of us. St. Ives did the rest. We are a family of 4 who were looking for a last minute 3 day weekend trip to the coast. We heard great things about St. Ives and got very lucky to find last minute accommodations at the Longships hotel. The city of St. Ives is fantastic. It... More

Stayed here when recommend by a local (full) B&B booked at short notice and had a lovely stay, views of the bay all the way to the lighthouse, friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast and clean comfortable room. A stones throw from the most beautiful fishing village in the world planning another short break next year here.

The hotel was extremely clean and the bedrooms lovely. However the meals could have been better. The first evening we had no choice and the veg was overcooked at most meals. Breakfast very good though. The staff were very nice.

We have just come back from a coach holiday in St. Ives where we stayed at the Longships Hotel. Having read some of the reviews about this hotel we were a little bit apprehensive, but we needn't have been. A small, family run hotel. Clean rooms, very friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble for the owners. The breakfast... More

More of a Guest House than a hotel in my opinion. Spotlessly clean, well cooked breakfast and excellent service in the dining room. Dinner was a different matter altogether. I travelled on a coach tour and the first evening we were given no choice at all. Starter was small glass of orange juice or soup each evening. Vegetables were VERY... More

not a nice room/depressing/dark maroon colour/gloomy. For a woman - no makeup lights or space in bathroom to place a travel bag! Grubby carpet in corners and below furniture. Unpleasant dining room and people on mobiles arguing loudly! Car parking a nightmare with the taking of keys and transferring of cars into other spaces (on your behalf) and generally inadequate.... My oh my oh my oh my... Where to begin? I guess I'll start with the hairy linen. Pubes on each of the pillows and at least a dozen hairs in the bed. The thought of sleeping in it was not a nice one. I would have moved to another hotel but deposit had already been taken. The car parking... More

Breakfast was very good and the staff were cheerful and particularly helpful - homemade fresh fruit salad for breakfast was as good as I have had anywhere in the world. Would definitely recommend. Room appeared to have been recently refurbished. Very good value.
