A quiet, welcoming hotel on the outskirts of St Ives with easy access to the centre of town via the lovely coastal path. The hotel is on the headland, sitting in the sun, with views out to sea. Comfortable bed, lots of hot water, fluffy towels and a big heated towel rail. We'll be back!

We last visited 7 years ago, we had a few days so my husband booked the same room as last time for it's lovely sea views. The room has been recently been redecorated, it was simple and tasteful. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bath was delightful! We had a great evening meal in the quiet restaurant, the staff...

Thank you for your review of The Garrack. I am glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to seeing you again. We do stock a selection of gins, including the Cornish Tarquin's gin which is very popular, served in a large bowl glass. The stock of different gins we inherited when taking over the hotel, numbering about thirty different...

Stayed for 3 nights with our dog. was made to feel very welcome and comfortable . Views from room were wonderful. Dined in restaurant each evening , food very nice only criticism would be that menu for Dinner didnt change much each day . Would defiantly return and recommend this little gem .

I stayed at the Garrack for 2 nights with my parents, grandparents and Labrador- we were very warmly welcomed with excellent front of house. My grandparents have difficulty walking and they were very well catered for with an easy-access room. I am a coeliac and they were very accommodating, with a range of gluten free desserts and menu adaptations. We...

For many years our family have visited this hotel and found it to be a joy, however we have recently stayed here and I can say that the personal touch has certainly disappeared from when the Kirby family owned the hotel. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very pleasant receptionist, however they informed us that they had changed our...

I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay at The Garrack and will make enquiries of reception and housekeeping about your complaints. We have made many improvements since acquiring the hotel and can say that they are appreciated by the vast majority of guests, including those who remember The Garrack of old.

A warm wonderful atmosphere with an excellent staff and an exceptional manager (Terry) who accommodated all our needs. The owner also treated us extremely well with a bottle of champagne for a birthday celebration during our stay. My room was lovely with a beautiful view of the sea and I would definitely return to the Garrack.

This was the first time we brought our pet greyhound to a hotel and were very pleased that dogs are accepted here with the minimum of fuss. You can't eat in the main dining room with them but you can in the smaller 'Island View' that has the same spectacular view of St Ives as the restaurant. The 3 nights...

my initial contact was via telephone as I needed to check on wheelchair access. the person I spoke to was extremely helpful, informing me that the upper floors would not be accessible. however they did have a sea view room on the ground floor which I booked on their 3 days for 2 deal. on arrival (a very narrow lane)...

Thank you for your review of The Garrack, which I had much pleasure in reading. You highlight the benefits of booking direct with the hotel rather than via an on-line travel agent who has little knowledge of the property or surrounding area. Our reception staff are best placed to discuss any requirements you may have. We try and instill a...

I only stayed for one night, but everyone at the Garrack Hotel were very welcoming and professional. I received a room upgrade to Room 7 which had an extremely comfortable four poster bed, large bathroom and all of the amenities that you could want. Breakfast was delicious and although mine was only a short stay, I would have no hesitation...

We live in Cornwall and just wanted a few days away. We have a 1 year old dog too so needed a friendly environment for her as well. Firstly The Garrack is found down a tight lane and with very little resident parking, however the the views over Portmeor completely make up for any initial doubts. The hotel itself has...

Thank you for your review of The Garrack. I am pleased you will return to stay again and would advise that if you have any meal requests, the chefs will be happy to oblige if possible. We have plans to refurbish the cottage next winter which will include replacing the windows.
