We stayed for the weekend of 25th to 27th November 2016 with two of our friends. Right from the start we were made very welcome and in the lounge/ bar/ dining room we felt as if we were staying in the owners living room. Straight away we hit it off with 'Elvis' and it soon became apparent that his jokes... More

I brought a group of Italians to visit Cornwall in September and we stayed at the Countryman, a nice quiet position a few kilometres outside St. Ives. There was a real family atmosphere which my Italian guests greatly appreciated and Robert Wilkinson gave us a special treat one evening - his excellent impersonation of Elvis Presley got them all dancing.

Lovely hotel with a good sized room. Hosts were really friendly and welcoming. Good breakfast. Ideally situated for Hayle, Penzance and St Michael's Mount and surrounding arears - a good base. Would definitely stay here again as enjoyed the good company

Lovely hotel with friendly owners in the shape of 'Elvis' impersonator, Rob, and his lovely wife, Sylvia. Rob's food was superb! Ribs AND peri peri chicken wings on the first night with liver, mash, onions and gravy on our second night! Dog friendly, modernised en-suite rooms, homely lounge area, 'free' pool room, outdoor drinks bar, very good wifi, (downstairs only)... More

We stopped off here before heading back to our hotel for the night looking to have some local drinks. When we arrived the weather was horrible but that was soon forgotten when we walked in and were welcomed by lovely staff and Elvis at the bar! There were cosy sofas to sit on and it was the perfect end to... More
