Stayed one night in a small double room for 100 £, including full breakfast. The room was basic, well functioning and very quiet. They seemed to serve dinner only on Sundays - so expect to go out for dinner. There are plenty of restaurants near by.
Had a lovely 4 days at this hotel, Reception staff very helpful advising on parking, Room spotless and breakfast very nice , everything you could need in a hotel, I would recommend this hotel and would definitely use again
Situated on a corner in the centre of town, it suffers from traffic and late night revellers noise. A rather soulless, chain hotel. Incredibly uncomfortable bed which is inexcusable given the cheap price of modern mattresses. Clean and a reasonable breakfast.
Came here with no expectations. There was no one at the front desk when I arrived and its basically not a manned desk, but someone will appear when you use the front desk phone. So not quite a warm welcome as you walk in but an economical way of doing things. The room was really nice. Was more like a mini apartment than just a room. It was en suite. The storage space was decent too. There was a kettle and tea/coffee making facilities and a TV. There was also a hair dryer, which was handy (not all places provide them!). My room looked out onto a courtyard and it was quiet. Breakfast was included which included the option of a full English cooked breakfast, cereal, toast, fruit and yogurt then to drink a selection of juices and tea & coffee. The food was fine, the only thing I'd comment on this that wasnt so great was that the service was really slow. If you were in a hurry I'd suggest not ordering a hot breakfast. The location of this accommodation is really central to everything. Theres a taxi rank outside it, a co-op grocery shop open til 11pm just across the street. The hotel is attached to a pub which is open til 1am (and one of the last pubs to stay open in St Ives). They had live music when I popped into it. The beach is about a 5-10min walk down hill (depending on your walking stride).. there is also a wetherspoons within a couple of mins down the hill for cheap drinks and meals. Overall it was a great experience here. They also have a room to store luggage if you have to check out but want to explore the town before you have to leave. Check out is earlier than what I'm used to but depending on your circumstances you might be able to arrange late or early check in if they're not too busy... I would recommend this place for anyone. It's an old building so the only access inside and to the rooms is via stairs so if you are wheelchair dependent or struggle with stairs it might not be the best place for you to stay here. I'll definitely be back here.…
