This B&B is located within a one minute walk from the harbour and many good restaurants and shops. It's also only 10 minutes walk from the train station. Very central. The house is also very comfortable and clean and had the character befitting a house built in 1730. The owner, Chris, was extremely helpful and welcoming.

The Anchorage was a great place to stay, central to everything, 30 seconds to beach, front, pubs..Chris the owner was GREAT! His breakfasts were lovely. Don't be fooled into thinking that the breakfast bap would be smaller than a full breakfast. It's a full breakfast on a bap! Chris's tips for sightseeing were invaluable. He advised us to visit Cape...

Set right in the heart of st ives the anchorage is a fantastic and comfortable base within our favourite english seaside town. A stones throw from the harbour shops restaurants and sloop pub (a must do) we've stayed here 6 times and would recomend it to anyone. The basement room (no 2) is huge and has all mod cons its...

Just stayed at the Anchorage and it was all we hoped it would be and more. You could not get a better location in St. Ives harbour than the Anchorage and our room on the top floor overlooked the beach and the sea. Breakfast was delightful and there was plenty of choice. Chris was the perfect host nothing being too...

We read with glee the reviews for the Anchorage and thought this is the place for us. On first sight we were not hugely disapointed. The exterior of the Anchorage is truly beautiful and very Picturesque. We were given room 2 which on entering had a slight musty smell not totally unusual in a basement room and did not make...

Stayed 5 nights with my sister and 86 year old mother at this great little b&b in a perfect location in the heart of St Ives, a step away from the harbour and a few minutes from the beaches. Chris is a most welcoming and friendly host, very accommodating and helpful and the Anchorage itself is a charming, old characterful...

We stayed in this B&B while we attended a wedding. What an excellent choice we made. So warm and welcoming. Everything was brilliant. Loved the room (2), it was clean, spacious and had everything you could want. The breakfasts couldn't be faulted and we had a choice each day. The locality was ideal, just off the main shopping street and...

If you are looking for a superb central position in St Ives then the Anchorage is the top choice. Such a charming cottage and ideally placed for all the beaches and walks. And to clinch it has to be the brilliant breakfasts that are beautifully served at your table, and your host Chris who is extremely attentive to your needs....

Read everyone elses review and hoped they were all true ...they were! The Anchorage is in a fab location right in the middle of St Ives. We were concerned that we would have a trek to the beaches but in fact the best beaches in our opinion are only about a ten minute [fairly slow!] walk away. Lots of places...

Heaven in a B&B. Nothing is too much trouble for Chris, who really puts himself out to make you feel welcome and cater for your every whim. The Anchorage is spotless, beautifully decorated, gorgeous plants all over the outside. I felt thoroughly spoiled and I can't wait to go back.
