I had to stay in hotels in the area after taking a new job in Exeter. I've stayed in four different hotels, one in the centre of the city, one near the train station and two near St David's church and then I stayed here at the Gipsy Hill. All I can say is the rooms are clean and well...

As a septuagenarian I have stayed in many hotels but this is one of the best. My wife and I stayed in April 2017 for 2 nights, rooms very clean and quiet, lovely views- Sue and all the staff who cannot do enough to assist guests with both grace and humour - excellent food from a wide ranging menu, We...

Spent a very comfortable night in a very spacious, quiet room. A bit disappointed with the breakfast which was very limited in choice. Unfortunately the breakfast room was adorned with an excessive amount of plastic flowers, fortunately the view of the garden was lovely. Had a very good reunion lunch and the food was excellent. The service was very attentive....

A warm welcome from Sue. The room was excellent for us and the dogs..There is only one special dog friendly room so book ahead for your own walled garden. Breakfast is excellent quality with freshly poached eggs on request. Unlimited buffet and a wonderful view over the garden watching foxes and squirrels. Yes the decor is a little retro, but...

Great hotel and very friendly hard working staff. Sue and Vicky looked after us on our over night stay. Had both evening meal and breakfast and the food was lovely. Grounds are beautiful and the room was really big. I would recommended this hotel and hopefully will come back and stay again. Thanks again Sue and Vicky.

It was mine and my partners 2 year anniversary and we just wanted a nice quiet but not too expensive weekend away so we picked this hotel. At first I wasn't so sure because some of the reviews were negative however it was one of our best weekends away. The staff were absolutely lovely and so welcoming, especially the evening...

This hotel is situated in very nice grounds on the outskirts of Exeter. It is a bit like going back in time but I don't have a problem with that if everything is ok and in keeping. I was given a room in the coach house annexe and as soon as I entered there was a distinct musty smell and...
