St. Olaves has a long history, which has resulted in a quirky building that must be a challenge to maintain. It oozes Georgian character and a magnificent central spiral staircase. The car park is small but our room was big! We had a separate seating area and bedroom and a large bathroom. Best of all is the breakfast - a...

Stayed on a Saturday evening recently when visiting my son at uni. Bit dated, but charming none the less. Parking available, lovely service and breakfast was fab. Our room was spacious, lovely and clean and not hot and stuffy like all the big chains!

This is a dear little Georgian hotel with parking; definitely recommended. It has lots of interesting history too. It is not especially appealing from the road but once you get through the arch it all seems delightful. The room was comfy, with more or less everything we needed. They forgot to come and do our room and replenish the makings...

I loved this hotel. Is a little dated but that only adds to the charm. Central location, car parking and lovely old building. Luckily had a room facing courtyard so no noise I definitely will stay there again!

My husband and I stayed here overnight as I had a work Xmas party and was working in exeter the next day so made sense to stay over. The room was very nice. Had everything we needed. However I did find the bathroom a bit dated. But the main issue I had was the noise from outside and the worst...

Came to St Olaves as a Christmas present for my boyfriend. Went to uni in Exeter so knew it would be central but was pleasantly surprised by how quaint the hotel was despite being so central. We were in room 11 at the top of the hotel which was nice and quiet with a nice bathroom and a decent sized...

A small but beautifully appointed oasis in Exeter, made a special wedding even more special, by hosting the reception. On a cold, dark evening, the tasteful mood-lighting set the tone of a very enjoyable event. The food was marvellous and service friendly, immediate and attentive, anticipating top ups and any extras we asked for.

The room used for the party was dirty, when we complained a cleaner with huge attitude came after saying she'd cleaned the room 5 minutes earlier (clearly the vacuum cleaner had been on blow!). A few minutes later she left the same dirty room. The carpets are stained and filthy and woodwork looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the...

Stayed on a Saturday night and realling enjoyed the hotel and location. The lady on reception (apologies I didn't note the name) was lovely, very friendly and helpful with advice when checking in and out and at breakfast. Hotel itself has plenty of character and charming features and it's central location with it's own car park is a real advantage....

Female staff member working very rude, called one of the guests a wan*er. The party had a live band which the organiser was aware of. The same staff member then complained about the noise level. Certainly had comedy factor! Lovely venue, shame about one member of the staff.
