As a lone female in a strange city, my choice of hotel was based on one that had central location, on-site parking and a restaurant available. I specifically asked for a reservation when I booked - however, I was told on arrival when I enquired about my booking that the restaurant was closed! The hotel has my mobile number, but did...

My husband and I stayed here for two nights this weekend. It was easy to find by sat nav in the centre of Exeter. I am very fussy about hotel accommodation and this hotel comes highly recommended. There are 15 rooms all individually colour themed, a nice dining area and a well stocked bar. On arrival the receptionist welcomed us,...

I stayed in October for business, St Olaves is a great central location with its own car park. The staff are friendly and welcoming. I stayed in room 1 their suite, the room has a separate lounge, where the TV is but bizarrely no secondary TV in the bedroom. The room was spacious but the decor was tired and chintzy,...

We stayed here as part of a coach tour of Devon and Cornwall and this little inn was just lovely. We had a large room on the second floor overlooking the courtyard. The bathroom was huge and down two steps from the room - very cute and with a good-sized tub. The king size bed was very comfortable and the...

This is not the most attractive part of Exeter - there are several 'late night food outlets' nearby. There is a bingo hall opposite - not that that is a bad thing. But then go through an archway and you are in a different world. This small, friendly, efficient hotel is a real find. It's not the cheapest of the...

Our tour company booked this hotel for us. We liked it very well overall except for the wedding reception noise on Saturday night. Happily, that ended at midnight. Our room was a good size and the bathroom was huge. The breakfast was delicious.

We stayed at St Olaves for 2 nights. It was 2 nights too many. We were put in the "apartment" ...what a joke ...it's a euphemism for a run down, substandard series of very old rooms away from the main building. No wifi for the first night, Luke warm / cold showers, no servicing of the apartment in terms of...

The welcome and customer service were good. I was very disappointed with our room (no. 10) - it was small, scruffy and claustrophobic; the sink was too small to wash your face in and a bit grotty - more of a £30 b&b room than a £95 er! Breakfast good and our friends room was better. Convenient. Will not return...

Very convenient location....we walked, pulling bags from Exeter Central railway station. Also very close to Cathedral square. An amazing, charming and very quiet boutique type hotel. The room was exceptional with a wonderfully soft bed and very delightful decor. Breakfast was great. Lovely dining room which made for easy conversation with other guests...always a plus when traveling. Excellent, helpful, friendly...

we stayed here for just two nights in July as we were visiting friends who live in Exeter. The hotel is more like a huge house, charming bedroom and very friendly staff. The breakfast was excellent too.
