Positives; Room good size with lovely view. Nice and warm. Very clean. Ample towels and pillows. Adequate choice on buffet breakfast. Negatives; We had the family room which meant we had a small shared toilet outside the door but had to go down 3 floors to use a bathroom.

Comfortable reasonable sized rooms with nice en-suite. Good english breakfast buffet style. Parking for vehicle at rear. 10 minute walk to the city center. There was some noise from other rooms with people moving around the house but this would not stop us staying again. Reasonably priced.

Having read some of the previous reviews, I was a bit apprehensive about the place, but I found everything excellent. Friendly and welcoming young man who seemed to be in charge of the place. Good size en suite room (room 4) with a nice view, a comfortable bed and a good size spotlessly clean bathroom. Breakfast buffet was fine, although...

Had a lovely stay here, we had booked in another hotel, which was disgusting, so could not stay there, so luckily found this place, very warm welcome, very clean and tidy, Good value for money, room had everything you need, no onsuite, but not an issue for us, slept so well we missed breakfast, so can't comment on it.

Arrived after 3pm, the hotel's allocated parking spaces were gone so the kind owner allowed us to park in her garage behind the hotel! (Car park opposite) We were going to a gig at the Uni and wanted to eat in town. This hotel is just between the two! The Uni is 7-8 minutes walk one way, the centre 7-8...

Arriving mid-afternoon, we were very warmly welcomed. In the evening Ronette the owner spent ages helping us plan our onward journey, sharing life stories on the way. A very special new friend. We enjoyed the excellent coffee and buffet breakfast next morning. We definitely plan to stay here next time we are in Exeter.

Situated in a great part of Exeter for public transport and for exploring Exeter. Yes the place is in need of a refurb but that aside the twin room with ensuite was ideal for us. The breakfast on offer was more than plentiful and tasty. Would certainly recommend.

Less than 10 minutes walk from Exeter Central Railway Station, 20 minutes walk from the bus station and close to the amenities of the city centre this was exactly what I was looking for! And situated in a quiet side street ensured good quality sleep. Very welcoming and good breakfasts. Only drawback - single bedroom small (but adequate for my...

We stayed here for one night whilst attending an event at the Exeter Phoenix. Very convenient, relatively easy to park in a public car park nearby and perfectly adequate for what we wanted. It could be our argued that some of the decor is a little bit dated, but that did not matter for us. Good buffet style breakfast, would...

Was clean and comfortable and breakfast was nice. Staff very friendly. Bit faded and jaded needs updating in a few places. Very small TV. Would stay again if was in area as it was local to town centre.
