Just returned from a night in lovely Lynmouth. Hillside House is cosy and homey, the bedroom was a good size with everything you might need. The room did not have an ensuite but we had a private bathroom just across from the room. We were offered a different room with ensuite but chose the one with the lovely river view... More

Walking up the hill, we found this B&B dating from the 1790’s on speck. The building is grade 2 listed. The door was answered by the friendly landlady Denise. She checked us into one of the six rooms. Denise is very knowledgeable about the area & its amenities. The room was decorated lovely & quite cosy. A TV with lots... More

We were greeted with a very warm welcome and were given a choice of room as we were first to arrive. The room was clean and the bed was amazingly comfortable. We enjoyed the view of the river and sea even though the weather was bleak. Breakfast was delicious. We will be coming again on our next visit to Lynmouth

We arrived on new years eve and due to the warnings of floods were cautious to book, however the owner (Denise) reassured us that two rooms were available on the day. On arrival she confirmed two rooms were available, then after a two minute chat, we asked to see the room and as we went up the stairs to view... More

During your numerous phone calls to us asking about the weather conditions in Lynmouth, you did not say you were coming to stay or reserve a room, so we were surprised when you appeared at the door and said it was you that had phoned earlier. You were told straight away that we had only one double room available which... More

Perfect location to explore Lynmouth and Lynton. Not far from watersmeet too. We had the loft room overlooking the river. Neat little room with a comfortable bed. Although it did get a little cold in the night. Breakfast was good too (catered for vegetarians). Friendly hostess. WiFi signals worked if you went down to the dining area. Short walk to... More

We had a lovely stay - booked for 2 nights then added 2 more, then another. Beautiful location, welcoming landlady, delicious breakfasts (even sausages for the dogs in residence!). Not sure I would have fitted up the stairs to the second floor if I'd been fatter as they're quite narrow. The whole area is very dog friendly, great pubs and... More

Very cute b & b in A great location. Lynmouth is in a beautiful area. Denise's oatmeal is awesome! She is very sweet. Unfortunately, our bath was across the hall so I must have messed up the reservation but it was still a great two days. Very quiet and clean. Slept well.

We spend a perfect weekend at Hillside House, my husband our dog and myself were made to feel very welcome here, we had a lovely room at the top of the house overlooking the river. We came looking for a B&B experience and found it in this little B&B in Lynmouth. The owner is friendly and open, the rooms are clean and warn, the bathroom. although a little small, very clean and had constant warm water. Our window was facing the back so no car noise (although there isn't much in Lynmouth in May anyway).... More
