Myself and hubby have recently returned from a wonderful 3 night break at Woodlands. The house is beautifully decorated and clean throughout. Our room was smaller than expected but the bathroom/wet room had recently been refurbished to a very high standard. Steve and Lesley were lovely hosts and the freshly cooked breakfast was delicious. The house itself is situated in...

Woodlands was the perfect place to stay for a short break away to explore the coast and countryside of Exmoor. Stunning walks from the door and lovely comfortable facilities to unwind after full days out and about. Loved the breakfast, great shower and particularly a refreshing cup of tea on arrival - perfect!

We stayed 3 nights recently in this lovely old Victorian building which has been sympathetically renovated to offer modern accommodation. The owners, Steve and Lesley, really are lovely and can't do enough to help. We loved the location in the woods overlooking the West Lyn Valley. A path above the hotel provides easy access to Lynton (10 mins walk approx)...

Woodlands guesthouse was a lucky find, fabulous rooms. Steve and Lesley were great hosts and we couldn't have wanted for anything more during our stay. Breakfast was excellent, all freshly made and delicious even the super green smoothie! Beds comfy and rooms quiet. Would definitely stay again should I want to conquer the hills of Exmoor!

The location is delightful but what impresses most is the genuine hospitality of the owners. Nothing was too much trouble. An excellent experience especially the delicious breakfasts. We loved the attention to detail.

Why would you stay in other hotels/guesthouses when you can stay in the best. We were going to stay in another hotel / Guesthouse because TripAdvisor on their web site had Woodlands Guest house as full, but due to the high slandered that Woodlands continually maintain we really wanted to stay with them. So we phoned them direct to see...

We stayed at Woodlands for two nights in late March. We booked a summer house room but as there was availability we had our room upgraded which was a nice touch. The room was very nice and very clean, the rooms seem to have been renovated recently but this has been done in keeping with the feel of the house,...

We were met by Steve and Lesley on arrival, they really made us welcome and had loads of helpful advice about places to visit and the best restaurants. Woodlands is set in a lovely tree lined valley with lots of nice walks, the room was of a high standard and we had a wonderful time. Highly recommended
