A lovely B&B, Guest house. Found this fabulous house by chance and thanked our lucky stars! The house is just beautiful! A lovely 1800s home tastefully updated to a very high standard. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and super clean with comfy beds, there are plenty of spare pillows and blankets. Breakfast was delicious with a good choice of local...

Spent a nice weekend in the city, owners are very helpful and accommodating. Room and bathroom were spotless water was hot and fast flowing. Number One is ideally situated for The Hoe and Barbican. Breakfast was cooked fresh, plenty of choice, nice place.

Great welcome and comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast, outstanding sausages. Ideally located to explore the city and the seafront. Erica is very helpful and her local knowledge was invaluable during our stay.

I recently stayed for 3 nights at Number One and it was great. The hotel is close to the centre of town. My room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. There was free parking on site. I was made to feel very welcome. The breakfast facilities were great, too. I'd definitely try to stay again the next time I'm working in...

We stayed as a family in December for a weekend break. It is situated within walking distance of the city centre with free parking and right on The Hoe. We stayed in a huge room on the ground floor which was plenty big enough for us and our daughter. It was extremely comfortable and better than many hotels we have...

Well a hidden gem off the main shopping areas in Plymouth lies this unassuming but extremely appealing guest house in Lockyer Street. Family run with helpful and supportive owners who in the right circumstances will bend over backwards to please their guests and make their stay so much more than just a guest house. Having fridges in some of the...

We stayed at Number One for the weekend after reading so many good reviews. We can only endorse those comments. The hotel was spotlessly clean, Erica was extremely friendly and helpful without being OTT, and the breakfast was superb. We stayed in Room 10 which is at the rear so nice and quiet. The bathroom was really nice and modern...

The room was lovely, clean and bright. A very warm welcome. The Number One is handy to the shops and restaurants and are all in walking distance. The breakfast was nice but could have done with some white bread, as they only had wholemeal and granary.

Thank you for letting us know that you enjoyed your stay, we are in a very convenient location to walk to all of the main city centre and waterfront locations. Toasting bread is either granary or 50/50 (almost white, but keeping you on the healthy side!). If you prefer white bread it's always worth asking, we're likely to have some...

Ideal location, nearly on the hoe and only ten walk from shops, restaurant's etc. Given your own front door key and room key. Front door key required after 10pm. Bedroom a bit dated but clean. Breakfast freshly cooked as requested and very good. Stayed here two nights and would have no hesitation coming back

Chose this B & B from booking.com as a quick break. We love Plymouth and the location of no.1 is superb for walking along the hoe and the barbican being just a few minutes walk. We've had a thoroughly relaxing break here, very comfortable clean rooms with a lovely bathroom. Owners and staff were very courteous and that to me...
