Stayed here last weekend after my parents had their Ruby Wedding Party in one of the function rooms. The room was specious, light and airy. The hotel is very clean and tidy. The staff are extremely helpful and cannot do enough to help. As a family we visit this hotel regularly throughout the year and we will certainly be continuing...

We stayed here one night. The hotel is cheap but you do get what you pay for. The hotel must have been amazing in its day but it is now rather run down. The staff were friendly, the room was clean. The bed was small and not too comfortable - I could feel the springs. And some of the furniture...

Thank you Clairerbw for your review. I'm pleased to see you found the staff to be friendly and your room clean. I can't agree with your comment regarding the hotel being 'run down'. We have a highly pro-active refurbishment programme which has seen the majority of the hotel refurbished. Our rooms are unique and stylish, tailored to the expectations of...

We stayed two nights, either side of the ferry crossing to Roscoff. The hotel is C19th and describes its architecture as gothic. The common areas are splendid (apart from the scaffolding around the entrance): ornate high ceilinged restaurant, ballroom, and sweeping staircase – you get the idea. We had booked a superior room and we had a different one on...

Generally the room is very good and feel the luxury staying in there. The arrangement inside the room also is very good. Few things can be improved (1) no complimentary mineral water provided (2) no fridge (3) no heater (4) The staff knocked and then entered the room before i got up to open (5) i left my USB thumb...

Stayed two nights here at the end of a cycling tour and had a very pleasant room although decor was getting a bit tired, bathroom was OK but lack of water pressure and a very old shower mixer meant a very poor shower despite the huge shower head and you also needed to run it at least 10 minutes beforehand,...

I was booked into the hotel for two days I was booked into a superior room. On arrival the member of staff was great. The hotel was dated but I felt it had character, within the room I had a four poster bed and a very spacious room. The breakfast was good and the dining hall was clean and tidy the...

My wife treated me (us) to afternoon tea in the turret at the top of the hotel for my birthday. We were well looked after by our butler Kris, who served us champagne on arrival and shortly after we had delicious sandwiches. There was a break and we then had a choice of tea or coffee and some gorgeous cakes....
