I hate to write this review as the owners and staff were super friendly and accommodating when we booked, however as seasoned Holiday Park Managers ourselves, we were seriously disappointed and concerned about the conditions on this park and the standard of the lodge we stayed in. We know it was end of season but paid a reasonable price for...

It sounds to me from reading this review that you had a bad journey. Churchwood is off the beaten track but most people find our instructions are clear and easy to follow and they find the site map is straightforward too. Street lights are deliberately low key and downward facing so as not to cause light pollution. The outside light...

we stayed here over New Year with two teenagers and two dogs. The cabin was one of the cleanest holiday lets I have stayed in and was well equipped with everything you might need, cooking utensils, pots and pans, etc. We also paid for a towel pack which was great and included tea towels, which we didn't expect. The beds...

We stayed here while visiting our son for Christmas. We rented a one bed cabin with 2 single beds. Our dog was welcomed at £5.00 extra. The Cabin cost £86.00 per night. The site is very sloppy but parking is available adjacent to the cabin. The cabin was very small, heating was on but we felt it would have been...

Stayed for a week and while certainly not luxury enjoyed our break with our two dogs. The accommodation is small (A2+ ) but had large bathroom with a bath and decent sized bedroom with good beds. The accommodation and site was very clean . Great walks on your doorstep and having the free car park to use near the beach...

Really nice place that is perfectly tranquil. Cabins are large enough and spaced out away from each other. Really beautiful walk down to a stunning beach. Dogs are welcome too which is great! I would have given 5 stars if not for a few minor negatives: - No dog poo bins in the dog excercise area. -No wine bottle opener...

Thank you for your review, we are glad you enjoyed your stay. To address the points you raised: We do not provide special dog poo bins as we have large wheelie bins all over the park (we have awards for our green credentials and waste management!) – which is where we suggest you put any such bags. If there wasn’t...

I stayed for 4 nights/5 days in July with my family, and paid a very good rate. I booked this as a base, as I was working in the area and it seemed a great location for the family to explore as I commuted to Plymouth and Exeter each day. The valley area itself is beautiful, and the family were...

Thank you for your review and we are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. To address the points you have raised: Given the wooded valley setting, there can sometimes be a smell of damp – it is nature and not something we can do anything about – wooded steep valley near the sea can smell damp....

Set in beautiful surroundings, making use of the natural beauty around this place is perfect for those that love holidays with the dogs. Ideal for kids and pets and as a base to explore whatever the weather. There is plenty of information at hand to plan days out and the beach has a marine centre where daily rock pool hunts...

Very expensive for a two night visit. The accomodation is still the same as the 80's. No phone connection but had WI-FI? Felt for the cost it needs to have the decore updated. the double is two singles pushed together and the futon style additional sleeping is hard and uncomfortable. Looks unkept, lots of dead greenery that needs brushing from...

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at Churchwood Valley. We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed but must take issue with almost all your points. We have a rolling programme for updating our cabins, there are always staff on site out of hours and available in emergencies, the main beach is part owned by...
