The hotel is in the middle of an refurbishment, afterwards it should meet good business hotel standards. I have never had so cold rooms in an hotel. Outside about 2 degrees, in the room about 18 without heating......

I travel to Plymouth around once a month and will always try to book in at the Holiday Inn. The pool and gym are decent for a chain hotel. The bedrooms are large and always clean enough. They have recently refurbished the bar on the ground floor to give it a more modern feeling. The restaurant is on the top... More

Nice to find a hotel with such friendly helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms a bit tired, could do with freshening up, but the foyer and downstairs bar was amazing. Breakfast was in the top floor restaurant with stunning views. Really good choice of buffet breakfast. Swimming pool was nice too.

Great location down near the hoe, and a short walk to the Barbican. Very friendly cheerful staff. Great view from room 1011. Rooms a bit dated, but I understand the hotel will be renovated and upgraded to a Crowne plaza at the end of 2016. Very nice bar area, and reasonably priced drinks. Parking available under the hotel for £3... More

Absolutely the worst hotel I've stayed in! Stayed here to go to a concert last year in Plymouth! Paid a small fortune for what we read was a four star! Shameful! Reception entrance was lovely then we got to our room jeez! First room was stinking of stale smoke considering it has a no smoking policy! They did move us... More

Situated in the heart of historic Plymouth, this is a typical older Holiday Inn. But the top (10th) floor houses the restaurant from which one gets commanding views or the harbor, city, and estuary. An excellent base for exploring the city. The rooms are adequate, not special. The breakfast buffet (included) is more than okay - lots of choice with... More

I used this hotel because it was close to my work. I use Holiday Inn Express a lot and this Holiday Inn is nowhere near as good. It is overpriced for what it offers; I refuse to pay £15 each for a buffet breakfast when there are much better options nearby. Rooms are serviced haphazardly and we had to ask... More
