This is the second year I've stayed at this hotel. I found the hotel rooms to be in immaculate condition. In terms of food, there was a wide spread of choice and all was excellent. The staff were constantly considerate of your every needs, and we couldn't have asked for more efficient, friendly and well nutured staff. In particular, Louise...

Dated decor, loose floorboards, faded tea stained carpet in room, carpet in en suite fusty smelling. Had to buy a tin of air freshener to make the room smell acceptable. Cobwebs on wall and dust evident behind the furniture also tea stains down the wall . The waiting /cleaning staff were polite and the breakfast was good, however the reception was...

Louise and her staff gave us the most friendly and relaxing time at The Allerdale. We loved the atmosphere, and the food was delicious! Torquay is central for lots of interesting places to visit. We can thoroughly recommend The Allerdale. Thanks Louise, we had a great time! Jan and Pete

Mr Tank. Nothing but thumbs up for this hotel. As soon as we stepped in the hotel, Louise made us feel part of the family. Easy access, easy parking 1 minute from the town center. As for catering, if you wanted something just ask! We travel all over mainland UK every year and never before have we came away pleased...

This is a typical old fashioned hotel and kind of larger B & B. The floors creaked, carpet in the ensuite a feeling that you are intruding in someones home. Not that I wasn't made welcome I was and that is were the warmth came from. Staff are lovely and the rooms are comfortable. Breakfast was good and location ideal.

Firstly... If carlsberg made hotel managers... Louise is professional, friendly and helpful, proud of her lovely hotel and it certainly shows within the beautiful hotel and it's well kept grounds. Room was tidy, clean, and in quiet location for a peaceful night sleep. Had all the basic requirements for a quality stay. Breakfast was very satisfying, a great selection to...

Whilst good quality meals with plenty of choice and efficient waiting staff the management seriouly lack people skills. Absolutely no sympathy or compassion evident if you are unlucky enough to be taken quite poorly whilst on holiday there. Expensive holiday, would expect more however the bedroom was sparse and the en-suite was barely funtional.
