Stayed only one night here (Sept 2016) as we were gathering for a family reunion nearby. We were well looked after. Room was small but very comfortable - ground floor twin, quiet at the back (was travelling with my mother, aged 91, who finds stairs tricky). Good breakfast, friendly host, plenty of info about the area. Location is quiet, off...

Excellent facilities rooms were clean, well decorated, comfortable with TV and ample tea and coffee making equipment. Jackie, the owner, was extremely hospitable, friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and with a wide variety of items to select from, with quality and quantity being the order of the day! When we are...

We were welcomed by the owner (I can't remember the name, but i'm reading Jackie in other reviews?) and were immediately treated to a warm cup of tea, after which we needed to fill in a form. She chatted with us a bit, and was very interested in our holiday journey, she really to her time, which was nice, personal...

We book this on line on the day of our stay. We stayed for 5 nights. The place was clean and looked after. We had a lovely chat with the owner then went into Torquay. We didn't need the room looking at one time. We had a lazy day. No issue. Just got told to ask if needed anything. Very...

What a lovely lady with a crazy work ethic! An absolute grafter who would do anything to ensure your stay would be the best it could! Pleasure to stay here and way to cheap for the service, detail and cleanliness provided!! Would recommend this lovely bnb to anyone staying in the area. Nice stroll into Torquay town and a 2...

We stayed at Abberley Guest House for New Year's Eve 2015 and were blown away by the owner's friendly welcome and wonderful hospitality. We were offered a cup of tea on arrival and chatted to Jackie about our visit before heading to our room, arranging cabs, breakfast and check out times with her. Jackie was very helpful and upon hearing...

I stayed here for one night, to go to a football match at Torquay United Football Club which is a short walk from the Abberley. The Guest House was spotless and the landlady Jackie treats her guests like friends, instead of customers. The room (twin) was a decent size, spotlessly clean with comfortable beds, TV, tea/coffee plus an en-suite power-shower....
