Just spent a lovely long weekend break with my family at Frognel Hall in sunny Torquay. We have family in Paignton so it was a perfect base to stay. Myself and my son are Torquay United fans, being only a mile away from the ground was again a perfect choice. From the moment we arrived (which was early in the...

Had a lovely long weekend at Frognel Hall. A great base to explore Torquay and the surrounding area. Ten minute walk into town downhill and slightly longer walking back uphill ha! We stayed in the December room on the second floor which was lovely. Nice size room with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was lovely and definitely sets you up...

We stayed with our grand-daughter for 6 days. It was an oasis of peace and calm, especially in the garden. An excellent place for a child to explore. Our room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The drawing room with its various games and watching the bats fly at dusk, was a great hit with us all. To...

We have just come home from a 3 night stay and lovely place and people but could do with a bit of an update. Rooms lovely and clean but we had room at the back and a bit dark and gloomy. Breakfast lovely every day, not sure about the evening meals as did not have any, and did not see...

The menu has recently been extended and all the food is from local producers and freshly prepared on the premises and is of exceptional quality. An attractive house with a very...

As always we received a lovely welcome from Stephen and Amanda who never fail to ensure that we have a great stay with them. We have stayed at Frognel a number of times now and we would not consider staying anywhere else when we visit Torquay...

Well this has to be the quietest hotel we have ever stayed in - a good nights sleep guaranteed every night. The beds were comfy too. A very clean hotel and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. The garden is beautiful and had great views. Walking down to the town takes...

I have just returned from a week's stay at this hotel with my 87 year old mother. The staff were kindness itself, they could not have been more helpful. Our room was large and overlooked the hotel garden with views to the town centre and the bay. At night we could see all the pretty lights on the promenade. The...

A beautiful house with a lovely garden. You can walk down through the garden to the town and harbour. Our rooms on the second floor were well equipped and very quiet and we had a great view out over the bay. Stephan and Amanda were helpful and friendly. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Hidden behind the long hilly slopes of Torquay is this little gem of a place! Within walking distance to the town center and yet far away from the hustle and bustle of the busy harbour and numerous shops and attractions of Torquay! Peaceful, friendly and charming!
