Visited the Imperial with a coach party. We had a very spacious room with side sea view and furnished balcony. Nice biscuits on the hospitality tray - good choice of teas. Shampoo and moisturiser, soap and shower gel provided and topped up as necessary. Spacious beds but could have done with new mattresses, really saggy in the middle. Plenty of...

Beautiful surroundings and views very good value for money. Have already recommended to friends. The only criticism I could find would be the poor water pressure in the shower but appreciate not an easy problem to instantly rectify in a beautiful old building.

We stayed here for 2 nights in a 'garden room'. Lovely view over the bay from our balcony. Large room with very comfortable bed. Good power shower. Tea/coffee/water/drinking choc & biscuits in the room. Quality toiletries and fluffy bathrobes & slippers. Excellant breakfast. Very friendly helpful staff. Great location, only a short walk to town. Will definitely stay again asap.

In general we would like to go back. The standards of the evening meal have gone down to previous ownership. I was not impressed either evening. Breakfast is good but a agin theer has been changes. I felt a lot of change in the staff from last time. Though the staff did their best, and was very helpful.

We went back for a two night stay, I'm my opinion you need to book a sea view room at this hotel, as they are magnificent we book a deluxe room with balcony well worth the few pounds extra. Our roll was vast, very comfortable with every facility you could think off. The reception staff are friendly and the hotel...

Lovely two day visit to celebrate a birthday. Do regular last minute short stay trips to Torquay and have used several hotels. Imperial is among the best and will certainly use again, Great Tor Bay views.

Great hotel and very clean. All the staff were very friendly and we had a room with the most amazing views. King sized bed and everything that you could want in a room. Breakfast was superb and service impeccable. Location ideal and within easy walking distance of all the amenities.

We have stayed at The Imperial many times over the past 20 years and witnessed for ourselves the effect of a variety of different owners. Mostly they spent a little on decor and tried to update the public areas in particular but the bedrooms stayed much the same with new paint and a bit of work in the bathrooms. The...
