We stayed just one night during the Tall Ships Race and it was a good place to be as there was a parade of yachts and we had a great view from our balcony. The hotel is in need of a major refurbishment but we have stayed here in the past and it is showing signs of improvement under new...

relax and enjoy the view over the bay, the service and food plus wine, you will always want to come back next year when the weather may be better. you may even be welcomed in the firs ten minuets by Mr Robin and his little grey friend.

First of all, may I say that I very rarely write a poor review but I feel obliged to on this occasion as I was disappointed. After doing a little research on all the ‘grand’ hotels in Torquay I chose the Imperial to have an afternoon tea to celebrate a special event with my husband. I’d previously called in when...

I have been to this hotel a few times previously, mainly as a contractor carrying out various jobs. I have been able to get booked in to stay overnight during my working visits. That has the advantage in that you get to see both sides, that is the backstage as well as the customer facing aspects. Although some of the...

Lovely hotel with fantastic views over Torquay. If you are looking for a Modern Hotel this is not for you. However although dated, it is elegant , clean and very welcoming. Would recommend a Sea View Room as it is worth the price.

Reading other reviews it seems we were unlucky with the staff we met. Arrived at 4pm midweek and there was no one on reception. It took quite a while and some calling out before a young lady appeared. She was very pleasant but then directed us to a lift which was out of order and clearly signed as such -...
