Grand by name, grand by nature! Looks a lot better from the inside and well worth a visit. Friendly and helpful staff, a lovely, reasonably priced cream tea. The menu looked delicious. A shame we're finishing our holiday as we'd have liked to go back there to set.

Spent last week enjoying a mini break in Torquay. We chose the Grand and that turned out to be an excellent decision. The room was reasonable albeit a little tired. The sea view was stunning and the fact that we had a substantial balcony was a bonus we really enjoyed notwithstanding that the weather was distinctly chilly. The hotel services... More

Weekend break with my family, and had a really pleasant stay. The hotel from the outside does look slightly outdated, nevertheless the hotel is a lot nicer inside. The room was quite narrow, but was clean and nicely decorated. Attended the 'murder mystery' event and that was a good laugh and accompanied by a really nice three course meal -... More

The hotel is a lovely old building with great views over the bay. However, our visit was marred by some unsatisfactory things. When we arrived and checked in we were given the wrong room. We had booked a sea view and this was a poky room at the back of the hotel. This was quickly put right but when we... More

We stayed at the Grand Hotel for a two day mid-week break and it was excellent. All the staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The outside of the hotel is in need of some TLC but inside it was very nice and clean. The room was very comfortable and well equipt with TV, tea, coffee and... More

A lovely hotel with welcoming, friendly and attentive staff who make you feel like a VIP. My en-suite bedroom, with sea view, was extremely comfortable. Also excellent food to satisfy the discerning palate. I thoroughly recommend this hotel.
