We had a fabulous weekend at Orestone Manor. Superb food and great cocktails (try the Singapore Sling) all enhanced by the team of very helpful and friendly staff - special mention to Dacia (sorry if this is mispelt)!

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome even though we arrived a couple of hours before their booking in time. We had a superb lunch and by the time we had finished our lunch our room was available. Every room is different and we were on the top floor with a balcony with views of the...

We took our mother/mother in law to stay for her 85th. Birthday and we all had a fabulous time. Although there are lots of stairs (no lift) this did not cause us any problems. The rooms are all very nice and individual. Very nice atmosphere throughout the place which is helped by the excellent staff. In particular Dan the waiter,...

Everyone was extremely professional and helpful. We had one of the attic rooms and it was really tiny. It just had a double bed not king size. The bathroom was lovely, except the plug didn't work so had to have a shower not a bath. Such a shame. The afternoon tea was superb, honestly can't praise it enough. Didn't have...

7 people attended to celebrate my daughter's 45th birthday. Every aspect was lovely. The food, the ambience and the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. Nobody in our group could fault it. One of our party is vegetarian and every course was excellent. From the lounge where we had pre lunch drinks there was a tantalising view of the sea....

Torquay- the home town of Fawlty Towers. The Orestone Manor is a unique hotel! A fine bar with a even more perfect Manhatten! Nice view towards the see, good service, delicious restaurant. Different decorations but cool and authentic English. You need a car to get here. Will come back. T&W Switzerland

We were a family group of five adults and we were allowed as much time as we wanted before going in, over the meal and in the lounge after -...

Old fashioned in the sense that the guest is made to feel so important. A beautiful , tranquil location. A large comfortable room (room 5) with sea views and a more than adequate bathroom. Dinner in the restaurant is excellent with some superb seafood dishes. Afternoon tea in the lounge is definitely worth indulging in. The real beauty at Orestone...
