Great central location, welcoming hosts who are highly knowledgeable on the local area, clean rooms, good choice at breakfast, parking for every guest. We were a little bit nervous about going away during Covid but Rasul and Gozal have done everything to put guests at ease. Thank you for such a pleasurable stay.

We booked this hotel as it had some outstanding feedback, and we can certainly see why....
The staff are all friendly and the hosts cannot do enough for you to make sure your stay is a great one.
The room we stayed in had a queen size bed and a lovely bathroom, and you don’t just get towels for the room but also the pool, so you can pack lighter...
The pool and gardens are beautiful, with a hot tub, which we booked both days and just added to the relaxation we already felt.
We also felt safe, secure and looked after, particularly in relation to COVID measures. The hot tub was cleaned before use, breakfast was served in 2 sittings to help social distance, appropriate signage and mask wearing.
The breakfast was delicious, and you could also order snacks from the bar later, do go with your drinks. The selection and price of food and drinks was also reasonable.
All in all there is what you need at this hotel for a great holiday. We shall definitely be returning!

We have just arrived home after a relaxing break at The Riviera Lodge Hotel. We stayed for six nights in a compact double room, with a realky comfy bed which was perfect for our stay. It is the first time for a long time that I have slept through the night.
John and Nicki are the most welcoming hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them.
The hotel itself is immaculately kept, from the car park to the pool and back. It is constantly maintained all day.
The breakfast was prepared to your own personal requirements and was served in a bright and again, spotlessly clean restaurant, following all Covid requirements.
The bar area was well stocked with lots of choices, background music which was lovely and comfy seating in either the conservatory or adjoining lounge.
The pool area was idyllic. It felt like we were abroad, had the sun too. The pool is well maintained as is the hot tub. Sunloungers and tables/ chairs surround it or there's grass area for a relax.
Food could be purchased until 6pm which was an added bonus too, meaning we didn't have to walk out.
The harbour/ marina is a ten minute walk away, a little steep for getting back but hey, a taxi would only be about 4.00 if you have mobility problems.
We used the train a lot, again about 15 minutes walk away, went to Teinmouth, Dartmouth, Brixham and Dawlish, Paignton and Totnes. It saved trying to park the car up in busy towns.
We have stayed at a few hotels in Torquay and this one beats them all. We will definitely come back and pass on to friends and family.
Thankyou once again.

We stayed here 6th to 9th June 2021. An excellent family run hotel at the top of the small hill just above the main marina, which is just a five minute walk away.

The hotel was beautifully run, with very friendly and efficient staff. Wonderful garden with a lovely pool and a hot tub and a good sized sun terrace. Licenced bar available for guests. Excellent full breakfast choices and service.

Within very easy walking distance of all the Marina-side restaurants and the main shopping facilities of Torquay.

Owners John and Nicki really take customer comfort seriously

I would recommend this to anyone who wants comfort and cleanliness, slightly away from the noisy main road alongside the beach, but still within easy walking distance. Perfect choice of hotel for our short stay in Torquay. My wife and I can't wait to return here....

Spent three lovely nights at Nicki & Johns establishment and we was not disappointed, from the moment we arrived we were greeted with a warm welcome. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere with the pool & hot tub & the bar an added bonus! Our room was spotlessly clean & bright. Breakfast was a delight with excellent choices, full cooked English breakfast was excellent ( complements to the chef) We had light snack & drinks in the afternoon. The hotel is a brilliant location with free parking,a nice ten minute stroll to the harbour. I would highly recommend & we shall be returning again in the near future. Thank you Nicki & John for your wonderful hospitality & kindness. Xx😎

This was a last minute get away but totally exceeded any of my expectations. The photos do do not do this hotel any justice. The owners John and Nicki go out of their way to make this a perfect vacation for you, they are extremely friendly, helpful and have a fantastic personality. The hotel itself is spotless, we had a compact room which was spacious and has everything you need a comfy bed, walk in shower, TV, WiFi, etc.
Breakfast is cooked to perfection and more than generous if wanted.
Excellent location, couple of minutes walk to the beach, restaurants & transportation. One thing we did not expect was a hot tub which was a real bonus, after walking allday we were able to kick back relax with a G&T in the tub, pure heaven!. Let's not forget the pool, yes it is heated, blissful experience jumping from the tub to the pool. This is an under rated hotel. I will definitely be back. As a travel agent i highly reccomend this hotel. Thank you John and Nicki.

Nicki and John are wonderful hosts at Riviera Lodge in Torquay on Croft road. They are so welcoming and along with their staff, they all work very hard in deed. A beautiful Hotel with a good selection of rooms. Our room was number 10, it was very clean and had everything we needed, including tea, coffee, biscuits etc etc even a coffee machine! Plenty of space, lovely en-suite, fresh towels and even flannels too!, shampoo and shower gel provided and even hand cream, which smells absolutely devine!!! Free wifi. The breakfast has a great choice, we enjoyed the choice of fruits for starters with yoghurt, fresh orange juice (several choices there even!) full breakfast, where you can tick ✔️ your preference etc. Toast, marmalade’s etc……I requested several things which weren’t on the menu, as I love peppermint tea, and also enjoy honey with my toast or porridge, and on every occasion they were very accommodating. There’s a hot tub, and a big swimming pool. There’s several places to relax, the conservatory is really lovely. The bar and the bar area is so stylish and comfortable. Nicki and John are really friendly and so helpful, we really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely return without a shadow of a doubt.

We've just returned from our third visit to the Riviera Lodge Hotel (12th until 19th June) and it's just as good as ever. John and Nicki are wonderful hosts, nothing is too much trouble for them. The whole hotel is spotlessly clean. There is a beautiful pool area with plenty of seating and sun beds, there is also an outside Jacuzzi. The bar area is lovely and cosy and the drinks are very reasonably priced. They also do afternoon snacks which are well priced and very nice. After going out for an evening meal it was always lovely to get back to the bar for the last few drinks of the evening. We met plenty of great people during our weeks stay, the ambience of the hotel encourages guests to mix and this really adds to the holiday experience. We're not really breakfast people so we can't comment on that but everybody we spoke to said that it was very nice. All Covid procedures are strictly adhered to. The hotel is for adults only (children over 14 are allowed), this also adds to the calm and relaxing atmosphere. It's only a 5 minute walk downhill to the seafront, the walk back is uphill and a bit more challenging but not really a problem. It's hard to imagine that there is a nicer hotel in Torquay, we love it so much that we have already booked for next year.

Our first time in Torquay and the hotel did not disappoint. The room was lovely and spacious, although the shower cubicle is a tad small.
Good choice of breakfast in the morning also suitable for vegetarians.
Great pool area with sunbeds and a hot tub.
Because we booked direct, we were given a drinks voucher to use at the bar which I thought was a really nice gesture.
You can walk into Torquay Harbour from here which is about 15 mins ( very hilly ) or take a drive down there but you will have to pay for parking.
Overall we had a great stay here.

Just returned from our holiday at this amazing hotel. John and Nikki are great hosts, nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is perfect, lovely well stocked bar, beautiful conservatory, lots of outside areas, fab pool and the bonus of an amazing hot tub. We have to mention the staff who serve breakfast, they are first class, very friendly and make you feel special. This hotel deserves 5/6 stars and is well worth a visit. Thank you John and Nikki for the best time. Julie and Darren xxx
