This is an excellent place to stay in Torquay. The location is perfect to all of the restaurants on the same road - Bianco's, Junjaow Thai, Chinese, Greek and Turkish, Orange Tree, Amici and more. Just a couple of minutes walk straight down to the harbour front. We had a very clean superior room at the front, you only had to ask if you wanted more fresg towels, tea bags or milk and nothing was too much trouble. The main benefit of staying here is the owners provide you with a parking permit which you can use at any of the Torbay Council car parks in the Torbay area! This saves us a fortune and was really convenient instead of having to find change for parking machines. Due to Covid it was ideal as we haven't used cash in months.
The owners really welcome you, give information and tips on restaurants and beaches in the area too. The breakfast choice is great from fresh fruit, yogurts, cereals and cooked breakfast choices. All covid procedures are in place and we felt completely satisfied. I would highly recommend staying here.

Absolutely fabulous! We stayed for a July weekend holiday during the first weekend that the hotel was reopened after the lockdown. They hotel has gone above and beyond. I would imagine that a lot of hospitality sector reviews from now on will be talking about COVID protection measures - and this place has nailed it. Hand sanitiser on each floor and the table you go to for breakfast on the first morning is the one you use for your entire stay. They’ve also invested heavily in a misting machine for room sanitation between guests. Room-wise, they don’t service the bedrooms daily, but instead ask you to make your own bed (to limit their contact with guests), and if you require more towels or anything else, just let them know. I genuinely cannot fault the place. The whole hotel is spotlessly clean and a we were given great bedroom and bathroom on the top floor. We would return in a heartbeat. Breakfast was amazing too!

We arrived here after a very long drive (7 hours) and were given a warm welcome by the hosts Viv and Gary. Due to the Covid situation, our double en-suite was basically dressed but very comfortable and spotlessly clean.Breakfast at the Peppers was very good with lots of choice and it seemed nothing was too much trouble. We were able to use the on site parking which was very handy as our car was not moved during our stay. This guest house is ideally located, just a five minute stroll from all of the nearby attractions and also had the added bonus of bus stops literally outside the front door.A good selection of restaurants very nearby. Would definitely recommend this guest house.

Stayed for 6 nights in this perfectly placed hotel. Step out the door and you can see the harbour. Great spot for a huge choice of bars and restaurants on your doorstep. Room was beautifully presented on arrival, clearly some care and attention is given to creating that great first impression. Breakfast choices included full English, quality food, no cheap sausages here, all freshly cooked to order and hot. Delicious! We enjoyed the banter in the dining room with the other guests and with Steve, the proprietor/waiter/entertainer.
Thank you Steve and Fay for a fabulous week, we have booked again for September so see you soon!

Just back from 2 days at Hotel Peppers & what a find!
Just opened under new owners Steve & Fay who have worked in hospitality for many years & it shows, both professional and helpful with many tips on the best places to visit and eat .
Our beautifully appointed bedroom (no 2) was immaculate with everything you would find in luxury boutique hotel... fluffy towels, quality linen , comfortable king sized bed , power shower, tea/coffee /quality biscuits, complimentary toiletries (hair dryer for the wife & modern flat screen TV for me !)
Hotel Peppers is in a perfect location, only for a quick stroll to the marina with many restaurants & bars on your doorstep.
Breakfast was a friendly & relaxed affair, plentiful with a great choice of fresh produce.
Whilst staying there you will also have a complimentary parking permit, which allows you to explore and park anywhere in Torquay .. what an unexpected bonus !
This is far from your standard small holiday hotel, it is both high quality, superb value & very comfortable.
We look forward to our next visit to Hotel Peppers in early September .

Hotel Peppers is in a fantastic location just a few hundred yards from the harbour and town, with lots of restaurants and bars close by. Fay & Steve were extremely welcoming, the hotel and rooms are spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable with plenty of tea, coffee and hot chocolate available. They provide a small bar with an honesty box for guests so that guests have access to a selection of drinks if they require. Saving the best till last was the breakfast, only one word to describe. Amazing! Quality products, cooked perfectly and plenty of it. Thank you both for a lovely stay, we will definitely come again

Our group of ex-military friends booked into "Hotel Peppers" taking most of the rooms. Sanjive and his wife Sabita couldn't have been more welcoming. They were always happy and smiling and would do their utmost to make you comfortable.

Our room was the twin room on the first floor. The beds were comfortable and the room was spotlessly clean. There was plenty tea and coffee plus biscuits on the first day. Also a free bottle of water and two blackout masks to aid sleeping, if required.

The breakfast, items selected the day before by 9pm, was served in two sittings as the hotel was fully booked, was very nicely presented. Eggs cooked to perfection and some really nice sausages. Plenty of tea and coffee, toast, fruit, etc. A nice touch was the yogurt and oats with a fruit jam offered at the start each morning.

Well located near the harbour and plenty of restaurants nearby. If you use the buses, there is a bus stop outside the property and it's only a short walk down the hill to the main bus hub.

The hotel is on a hill and it does have plenty of internal stairs and no lift. There is a deck at the back that is the perfect sun spot for an afternoon tea or a glass of wine. The chairs and tables are provided. Parking at the hotel is limited but you will be given the option of parking in a car park a little further up behind the hotel, with a parking pass.

I would would wholehearted recommend this hotel.

Unusually Mrs Horace and I couldn't agree a score for Hotel Peppers; she would give it a six, I would go four, so five is the average ! She makes a fair point that although quite small, our room (Room 5) had everything you would want and was very clean. Similarly she is correct that the owners were very friendly and we absolutely agree that the breakfast was excellent. My reservations were that there were only two choice of times for breakfast (0745 being a bit early when on holiday and 0845 which was fully booked) although to be fair this may be a Covid related restriction to keep people spread out. My main issue was early morning noise; the aforementioned small room got very warm overnight so it was necessary to keep the window open. This meant that from 0615 each morning the sound of the breakfast preparation in the kitchen below carried up. But overall, very nice.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights before going on to self-catering accommodation in Brixham and we had a very nice stay. Lovely room, big comfortable bed, tea and coffee and biscuits provided in the room. Smart ensuite bathroom with powerful shower. Owners are very attentive and keen to make sure you have a good stay. A choice of breakfast options which to preorder - I had the vegetarian breakfast while my husband had the full English; both were excellent. We also enjoyed the yoghurt granola mix we were given beforehand! Parking at the back is limited to a few spaces, but the owner gave us a permit to park in the car park up the hill, which was fine. We just brought the car back down to load up before leaving. Thank you!

Just had a lovely weeks stay at this hotel. The owners Sanjeev and Sabita are such warm and considerate hosts who do everything they can to ensure their guests have the most comfortable stay. Nothing is too much trouble,San even helped carry our luggage up to room 9 which was lovely and spacious. The bedroom and ensuite were spotlessly clean, the bed and pillows very comfortable and the bedding and towels immaculate.San topped up tea, coffee and milk each day and was thoughtful enough to ask if everyone was warm enough at night or if we needed extra bedding.
There is a lovely choice for breakfast, everything freshly cooked by Sabita. Their homemade berry and yoghurt pots are delicious and Sabita makes the very best scrambled eggs.
The whole hotel is very clean and bright and is close to the harbour, there are also plenty of restaurants offering various cuisines nearby.
There is also a bus stop outside if you fancy giving the car a rest, we used it several times.
Thankyou Sanjeev and Sabita for a fantastic stay and for looking after us so well, we wish you all the very best for the future.
