It is true to say that this is not the type of hotel you would visit if you were looking to purely stay inside the hotel and not venture further afield. Upon our arrival we were greeted by happy and engaging staff that immediately put us at ease and in the holiday mood. We found our room clean and more...

This hotel is used by the coach trade, for cheap and cheerful breaks. Not so cheap and not so cheerful. I had a single room , box room size. The shower would not work. numerous attempts to get it sorted, but i finally transferred to anothe hotel. The bed was very soft and uncomfortable.

I struggle to find some positives about this hotel apart from the friendly waiting on staff . My room was small and very dated and dust thick on the tv, the shower did work but the shower room was very small it was hard to turn around.Towels changed but did not replace them all until the next day after I...

Dirty room and soiled sheet, the sheets had not been changed, the mattress was dirty. The water from the shower was leaking down into the room below and we were told not to use the shower! Nobody came to fix the leak, this room was vile, the noise from an extractor outside the bedroom window was terrible, we were so...

I was a bit doubtful about this hotel having read the reviews, but only people with complaints post experiences on Trip Advisor. So I gave it the benefit of the doubt. They were TRUE! This is a dirty, fusty, tired, grim hotel. The only nice thing were the two receptionists. Oh and the sheets were clean but the duvet dirty....

Late night pool tournies with regular trips to the beautiful bar filled with some rather wonderful antique trains on show to guests. Good choice of bevvys although thatchers gold should be made illegal everywhere and the potion has yet to be tried. Events...

If we had travelled to this hotel in our car we would not have stayed. We had the most filthiest room you could imagine. We were on a budget coach holiday so were not expecting 3,4, or 5* surroundings but we were expecting basic cleanliness. The TV was thick and I mean THICK with dirt dust and fluff and the...

We visited this awful hotel as part of a coach trip. The hotel is big with lots of uneven stairs and long corridors which look vey uninviting. The corridors bring nursing homes to mind - even down to the smell. We were given the smallest twin room I have ever seen - we could hardly walk between the two beds!...
