Homely welcoming guest house with very friendly hosts. Superb full English breakfast freshly cooked. Large bedroom with great shower(complete with 'disco light) 🚿💡😂😊.
Lovely heated outdoor pool and jacuzzi plenty of seating areas.

Plenty of hand sanitizer around the building and your room is your bubble, only entered by staff if you wish to have it cleaned or towels changed

You can even bring your own takeaway food in on evening and they will provide plates ect if you want to eat later than the hotel mealtime.

Set at back of resort up a slightly inclining road it's about 15 mins walk to front and harbour area.

Would definitely recommend for a welcoming stay and great value for money.

We needed a safe break away with the children after being in lock down for so long. This hotel was perfect as we didn't need to venture out to the beach and hang outside too much. The outdoor pool is amazing and was heated to 32°, was like walking into a warm bath. We spent most of our time around the pool. Our family room was very spacious, comfortable and clean. Ian and Debbie are so easy to talk to and nothing is too much trouble. The cooked breakfast was delicious and they offer a variety of snacks and drinks to buy onsight. We did eat out at some local restaurants and would highly recommend 'Below Decks' located down the marina.... Food is superb. This hotel is just perfect for a family getaway and I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Thanks for the perfect stay, see you again next year.

Stayed here for a few days, room not very big with 3 beds side by side, good shower, tv and fridge in the room. Hotel has a decent pool and pool area with a jacuzzi ( not very warm), on-site parking quite tight but you can park on street outside if required. Games room with pool, arcade machine and darts.

Good breakfast and owner’s knowledge of local area good. 15 minute walk downhill to harbour area a bit longer walk back up! There is a bus no.12 which stops right outside the hotel.

Not sure how the prices are with other hotels in area but in comparison to other towns/ cities we have stayed I think this is expensive for the room and distance from resort centre.

Overall had a good comfortable stay, and would stay here again.

Beware if going out for diner and book in advance or you may find yourself hungry, we went couldn’t get a restaurant and 1 chip shop stopped taking orders at 7pm as they had run out of fish!

Hi Thank you for your review, we are very pleased to read that you would come back and stay with us again. I am sorry you found the room small but as a family room it can sleep up to 4 adults as it includes a double bed and two single beds. If you do come to stay with us again you might find having two separate double rooms more in-keeping with the space you would prefer? The pool is an outdoor pool and is heated via solar panels, recently we have had some rain so normally it is 30 degrees but it did go down to 27 degrees, it will be back up to 30 degrees now. We always recommend our guests to book in advance for all their meals at high season as Torbay is a very popular destination for people. Many thanks Debbie

From the moment we arrived everything was great. Ian & Deb gave us a warm friendly welcome. Our room was clean and tidy with everything we needed. The place itself is in a wonderful spot. The pool and Jacuzzi are just great, temperature of the water is maintained at around 30C, we spent the afternoon enjoying the sun and dipping in and out the pool. Breakfast was really good, nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. Had a great chat with Ian whilst he was cleaning the pool, he is a workaholic. Overall a great mini break, will definitely return in the future and would recommend it to anyone. Thanks for a great stay!

I’ll start by saying we originally booked in for a week and we were not ready to leave on Friday, so we extended by 2 nights. Overall 9 nights

I picked this lovely guest house for the swimming pool and good location to Torquay and surrounding areas. What we also enjoyed were fabulous hosts who honestly are so friendly, relaxed and accommodating.

We felt very safe with the covid measures that are in place. Breakfast is a good affair and well organised. Rooms are clean And very comfortable

Parking is on the property and if full there is plenty of free on street spaces.

On the days we were not visiting other spots the hot tub and swimming pool was a joy! There is plenty of room to lounge on tables and recliners by the pool side

We would definitely return. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

After a 6 hour drive from Epping we were greeted by very friendly owners who took the time to explain and show us all around and even took us to our room.
Room was very nice and exceptionally clean. We then went and used the pool and could not fault this. Clean heated and lots of sun chairs around.
Breakfast was pre ordered the day before which for us is not a problem. Breakfast was well cooked and lots of it.
Overall a fantastic place to stay, friendly great pool and hot tub and within easy walk of everything.

We will definitely be returning but for longer than a weekend as great value for money.

From the minute I phoned this guesthouse with some special arrangements, I knew that the service and attention to detail would be exemplary.
I spoke to Deb on the phone to advise of my recovery from a disastrous fall and to check the guest house could accommodate me. Deb took the time to FaceTime around the building so I could risk assess any obstacles to my stay and even ensured there was parking reserved for us for ease of access to the building. This was just the kind of TLC I was in need of on a short break with my children!
When we arrived, the guesthouse was spotlessly clean and we received a very warm welcome from both Deb and Ian (despite us arriving an hour later than planned).
Our family room was well appointed and had everything we needed to ensure a comfortable stay. Ian ensured we were fed and watered before we turned down for our first night’s stay.
The following day, we had a full English home cooked breakfast along with some banter from Ian who has a lovely way of making you feel at home, like a part of the furniture. The food was plentiful and great quality, cooked to order. We then attempted to burn those calories off in the pool which is clearly well maintained and Ian’s pride and joy. The kids absolutely loved it, and we all enjoyed kicking back, enjoying the sunshine and playing on the various inflatables around the pool. A perfect family day!
Sadly, we missed the Caribbean BBQ and pool party on Sunday but despite preparations been made, Ian and Deb took the time to ensure my family had whatever they needed , when they needed it. What a fantastic couple!
It was our first trip to Devon but it certainly won’t be our last. We hope to see you both again soon Ian and Deb and thank you for a most wonderful stay.
Love,
The Gills x x
