We stayed 3 nights early August 2015 booked a premier room including dinner. The location of the hotel is excellent not far from Torquay seafront but far enough so not noisy at night or by day with a mix of guests of all ages. All staff were pleasant and attentive .We stayed in Room 23 which was clean and comfortable...

Great family run hotel with very hospitable staff, friendly and informative greeting. Information about the area and bus services. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was plentiful and a large selection cooked to order. Great gardens with view to sea, nice to enjoy especially as the weather was so kind. Perfect location for us being so close to the beach....

We chose to stay at this hotel for our 3 night stay, whilst enjoying the sights Torquay has to offer. Alex and staff were extremely hospitable and there when needed, the service really is second to non. Our room was extremely cosy and the bed was a size, in fact I thought I lost my partner a couple of times...

I chose this Hotel over other ones I've stayed in in Torquay because breakfast was included in the room rate. When I arrived, I was informed that breakfast started at 8.30AM and nothing would be available before this time. Not so helpful since I needed to leave at 8.30AM. This is the 1st Hotel I've ever stayed in where breakfast starts...

Our room was small and the bathroom was tiny. And why do hoteliers think it's a good idea to use cheap plastic fittings like towel rails when better items cost so little more? The public rooms are very attractive. The bar prices were reasonable. The breakfast was really excellent. All staff were efficient and friendly. We left our car at...

Myself and my partner have never been to Torquay before and we wanted to go there for a nice get away from our busy home and job lives. The Balmoral is in the perfect location for peace and quiet and just up the road from the harbour and around the corner from a beautiful coastal walk. The hotel staff were...

We have just stayed here on a working weekend break & after reading numerous reviews on how good this hotel is, I need to share how dissapointed I was! I can't believe there's so many good reviews. Our room number 9 was terrible! We arrived very late Friday night at midnight so keys were left for us, upon walking through...
