We have been staying at the Balmoral on and off for the last 23 years. It's is always clean and tidy and since Alex and co have taken over it has been updated to a good standard. The food as always was very good with good choices. The only thing I would say is that this time the bedroom was...

We stayed at the Hotel Balmoral in April - we are a couple away for a business/pleasure trip. First thoughts....dated and a bit 'old peoples home' but clean, tidy and friendly - which are massive positives but the squeaky beds and floor boards soon lose their quirkiness! We were pleasantly surprised that there was entertainment on the Friday night by...

Perfect location for the beach or the town if you don't mind walking. Excellent price for B & B and if you want dinner you can get 5 courses thrown in at a very reasonable cost. We stayed 2 nights and the evening meal was different on both days. Quite a good choice of starters, mains, desserts and cheese and...

Stayed at the Balmoral for a weekend in March and had a nice relaxing time. The weather was good, which always makes a break enjoyable, and the food was excellent. 5 courses each night. The staff were very good, nothing was too much trouble but they were not "in your face". The position of the hotel is very good, a...

This was our second visit to the Balmoral. The hotel can not be faulted. All staff very friendly and polite, all rooms spotless, food as always wonderful, and entertainment both nights catered for everyone. I really can't see how they can do all this for such a great price.

Good entertainment on two evenings during the weekend.Hotel has a very friendly atmosphere and many visitors were ones that had been several times before.
