We arrived at the 25 Boutique B&B around 4 and were greeted by both Andy and Julian. We had booked the Watcombe suite and although we were originally sceptical about the price we had paid for “just a b&b” it was immediately clear it had been worth every penny.

The hosts couldn’t do enough for us yet remained at a distance and gave us privacy. It was the perfect balance. We had booked Chelston hall based on their online recommended local places to eat and it was exactly what we were after. A village pub full of locals and warming dishes.

Complimentary drinks and brownies in the lounge after being checked in and shown our room was a nice surprise, there was an honesty book for you to help yourself should you wish to have more, all reasonably priced.

The level of detail in the room was above and beyond. Homemade cakes and biscuits for us in the room along with sweets and complimentary water. There was both tea and coffee making facilities as a nespresso machine. A dyson bladeless fan, hairdryer AND straighteners, Alexa, iPad, smart tvs, shower tv, mood lighting, a box full of anything and everything you may of forgotten and luxury Elemis toiletries. Not to mention is was all super clean and modern.

Most importantly the bedding was like sleeping on a cloud, the bed was huge, rooms quiet, I had an amazing night sleep.

Breakfast was cooked to order and was delicious. We had a full English and an eggs Benedict, The eggs were really fresh and the yolks were bright orange, Bacon cooked just the way I like it. And the continental counter was to die for, as well as fresh fruit and juices there were homemade granolas, smoothie and yoghurt to name a few. It was these personal touches that made you feel really special here.

Lastly the little goodie bag upon leaving with water and snacks for the journey home. Just topped off the perfect little overnight stay here at the 25 boutique B&B.

I wouldn’t hesitate to book again ❤️

We decided at the last minute to have a few days away. The 25 B&B was absolutely perfect. The hosts were brilliant and went to extraordinary lengths to ensure the accommodation and facilities were perfect in light of the current pandemic. We were impressed from start to finish. The little daily treats were an additional bonus. Thank you for making The 25 a safe place to be right now. We had an an amazing stay and will return. Thank you Andy and Julian for allowing us to share your beautiful accommodation with us.

Stayed 3 nights at the lovely 25 Boutique in Torquay. Despite Covid precautions, our hosts did everything to make us feel welcome. The rooms were immaculate with lots of lovely details such as fresh milk in the room each day, home made cakes and biscuits delivered daily to the room, a welcome note with our names on the board of the reception upon arrival (along with a glass of prosecco each) and even a little snack pack provided for our journey home.

The room had all mod cons yet still maintained a traditional feel. It was immaculately clean as was the entire B&B. Breakfast was also marvellous.

About a 5 minute walk down to the sea front and a number of nice bars and restaurants.

Excellent hosts and lovely place to stay. Thoroughly recommended.

Rob and Lisa.

Arriving at the best B&B in the world you have high expectations and we were absolutely not disappointed. The quirky reception area lifts your entire day only to be further improved by a very warm welcome from Andy and Julian who are both fabulous hosts. The hotel is immaculate in its presentation, the attention to detail both in service and amenities is impeccable, despite the covid restrictions in place our stay was not affected adversely at all as they have everything covered. The rooms are absolutely first class and provide you with everything you need, the technical additions are well and concisely explained and its amazing how quickly you get to rely on them! Breakfast is outstanding from a virtual buffet with homemade selections to cooked options and a few surprises thrown in which only adds to the experience. You cannot fail to be impressed with the hospitality, the décor, the ultimate staycation! Looking forward to a return visit to see how things are done without covid in place as I cant imagine it being any better but just know there is even more to offer, highly recommended.

My wife and I have just returned from a two night stay at No. 25 (19th/20th October 2020) B & B in Torquay.
Having read previous reviews and being in regular contact with Andy and Julian I was very confident that our stay would be excellent and I also felt safe, in relation to COVID -19, before even arriving there that their measures in place would keep us, other guests and themselves safe.

From the time we arrived until we left we were both not disappointed.

We stayed in the Watcombe suite which was immaculate, spotless, very comfortable, lots of technical gadgets which we found fascinating and a bit of fun.

TV in the shower - brilliant!!

Could not fault the fabulous breakfast, lots of little extras and all public areas were spotless.

Nothing is too much trouble.

Attention to detail is first class.

Would definitely recommend a stay.

Andy and Julian deserve everyone of the numerous awards on display.

Nigel and Sharon

We stayed at The 25 for 3 nights last week and it's clear to see why it's been named best B&B in the world. Even with Covid measures in place, service from Andy and Julian was very attentive and they really put their all into running the business.

We stayed in the Broadsands room which was spotlessly clean and had the most comfortable bed ever! It really was a luxury room - we calculated the bed alone had about £600 worth of bedding on it!. Extra little touches like having Alexa in the room to control the lights/TV/aircon, having an iPad and Nespresso machine (with fresh milk given daily), free mini bar and a bathroom almost as big as the room were not what you would expect from a standard B&B.

Julian's cooking at breakfast was spot on and so tasty, with a great variety of choice from eggs benedict and a full English, to more continental fare - and we always looked forward to Andy's daily delivered homemade treats :)

Location is great with a short 10min walk to the beachfront and close by to a ton of restaurants. Andy and Julian sent us their recommended restaurant list before we arrived and both places we went to didn't disappoint.

Being given a bag as we left with snacks and a drink for our journey home was a lovely and unexpected surprise, and just goes to show all the thought and attention to detail that has gone into giving the best guest experience.

I don't feel our experience was hindered by the Covid measures in place, but we can't wait to return when everything's returned to normal if it means we'll get a 6* experience next time!

I stay here several times a year through work and i love returning. Andy & Julian are the most welcoming people i've met. Always greeted with a smile and a complimentary drink, and brownie (WHICH IS TO DIE FOR).

My bags are carried to my room and the rooms are faultless. Clean, light, airy, and quirky. Each having an individual theme adds nothing but even more likeability to the 25 boutique. The bathrooms are spotless, and the 5* is carried on throughout the quality bed linen, towels, toiletries, and overall warmness,

Breakfast is top notch - simple yet satisfying, most importantly hot and cooked to order - nothing is too much hassle for this B&B. Poached eggs that are runny 5*. Plenty to choose from off the menu and all sourced locally, right down to the jams and marmalade.

Check out - a goody bag with some home made shortbread, water, a bag of crisps, and a fridge magnet, add to the excellent service i always receive when i stay here. I really can't fault it. I book my next visit every time before i leave!!!

Keep it up & see you in April

Having read the Covid policy before arriving we knew what to expect and Andy made us welcome whilst explaining how things were going to work around the virus.
The reception area was inviting and spotlessly clean with hand sanitiser and wipes for surfaces.
We were given our room key and met Patsy the dog quickly before she went back into the office.
While we unpacked we were delivered of a drink of our choice and some wonderful homemade brownies.

The suite - Watcombe - was lovely.
Little touches like a small jar of sweets and a complimentary mini bar, as we had booked as VIP. Guests, which included some nuts and chocolate too.

We couldn’t want for anything; tea, coffee, hot chocolate, milk, water, espresso machine, three TVs, an iPad and Alexa controlled lighting. ( Which I have been informed me now need at home!)

We didn’t need to take a hair dryer or straighteners that usually weigh us down and there were toiletries and lovely towels available for us.

I recommend trying the dressing gowns, so comfortable and available to purchase if you feel the need.

Breakfast was wonderful. A wide range of choices, all served on request in a light and comfortable breakfast room.

Even though it rained all the time we were there, it wasn’t a big issue due to the lovely accommodation and indoor attractions close by.

I almost forgot the bed.
Super King Size and incredibly comfortable.
I’m also informed we need some of the pillows for home as well!

The shower! Lovely. Easy to use with a tv in case you want to watch while washing. :)

Nothing was too much trouble for Andy and Julian at The25 and we are already planning our next visit.

I could keep writing but you’ll see from the other reviews that this B&B is practically perfect.
You won’t be disappointed.

Wow from start to finish, Andy and Julian are clearly ambassadors in the competitive world of B&B’s. We were greeted with a wonderful warm welcome from Andy and Julian, accompanied with eye catching décor as soon as you enter the main reception area, and we soon realised we were in for an experience and a half. I doubt I will be saying anything different to all the other 1000 excellent (almost!) reviews, but quite honestly, we have stayed in many B&B’s particularly for shorter visits and this by far exceeded our expectations and then some. Andy and Julian absolutely do go the extra mile and the attention to detail and quality is second to none as validated by the abundant winning awards from local, regional and global that are proudly displayed throughout….they may soon have to use one of the rooms to store them all in!

So, the room, to say we were blown away is an understatement, the uniqueness of the room (we stayed in Torre suite) was simply amazing, I mean a gold winged zebra above the bed what more do you want. The overall décor and finishing are just superb and for the eagle eyed amongst you will instantly notice how precisely the furniture and fittings are perfectly aligned and presented. The real cherry for us was the extra full sized dressing room (celebrity style lights and all) which we initially thought was just a closet. There is a plethora of high-end items throughout the room, including full Nespresso coffee machine with selection of flavours, and small extra touches including lip balm, pillow sprays, all toiletries, straighteners, even a little box of items you may have forgotten to pack….you name it they have it covered. The bed and bedding well as like everything else are the platinum standard. Andy’s daily cookie treats are just wonderful and delicious as well!

The breakfast is again top drawer, Julian knows how to cook a delicious breakfast! What we really noticed and appreciated was how majority of items on the menu were sourced locally with a booklet (also provided in folder in the room) with background stories of each. The location is ideally positioned to allow you to walk to town / sea front (about 10-15mins) or indeed drive to local nearby attractions. Again, the folder also provides a lot of recommendations for local restaurants and local places of interest.

A long review I know but honestly, I could go on and on about this place, it genuinely puts majority of top hotels to shame. We count ourselves very lucky to even managing to book a room last minute and experience this place. Like many other reviewers we are locked into the Andy and Julian wonderworld and will absolutely be coming back again. My recommendation….if you are lucky enough to find availability do not hesitate and BOOK IMMEDIATELY!! You will be very glad you did, they have all these awards for a reason.

Thank you, Andy and Julian, for your superior hospitality and creating this absolute gem! Also, we enjoyed our leaving goodie bag, those treats didn’t last long :).
