We stayed here for 10 days in 2016 as they are pet friendly. The room was always clean and tidy and the en suite spotless. Breakfast was exceptionally well prepared, with no sign of any grease or fat with the full english. The propreitor even brought a cooked sausage to our table to cool whilst we ate cooked breakfast so...

We had an over night stay at Ferndale Lodge on our way back from Cornwall on route to Cheshire. Very helpful owner that greeted us on arrival and gave us lots of recommendations on dog friendly places to visit. Comfortable room with everything we needed. Lovely cooked breakfast made to order in the morning. A comfortable stay and very dog...

My wife and I stayed in Torquay for a couple of nights and found this gem. We found the staff friendly, the room very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was good - all meals served to order, so they were always fresh, this did involve a waiting period for them to arrive, but was not a problem. The hotels...

Had a lovely stay with my mum, very relaxed, our room was on the level of the roof terrace, was ideal for us to sunbathe, lovely and clean, very serene and quaint, staff lovely, breakfast was lovely apart from the egg a little under done ( this is a regional thing I think as it always seems to be the...

Have just returned from a two night stay here at Ferndale Lodge. We were given the four poster bed room, this was spotlessly clean & very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice. Hosts were very attentive. The location was ideal for us, helpful to have parking available here too. Will definitely stay here again if we visit Torquay...

My husband and I booked ferndale lodge very last minute as we were already in Torquay for our minimoon and wanted to spend an extra day here and found it to be a reasonable price. It was a nice enough stay for the night, however it isn't in the best location if you don't like much walking. It's around about...

Ferndale was much better value for money than expected for the money for a bank holiday weekend. Staff were friendly. Breakfast well done, and Bedroom and shower room were good. The big problem was the bed. I have never suffered from back pain but for the three nights I stayed I had a bad nights sleep due to back ache....

Stayed here for 2 weeks and the breakfast was first class, very clean and welcoming place. Good location with car park. Only thing, the mattress needs changing as well past its best but this small item and I know the owner would change

Stayed here for one night whilst on a family trip to Devon. Very friendly host, who had great knowledge of the area, friendly welcome and a good 5-10 minutes of being shown most of the local attractions on the mat. The lodge also welcomes dogs which was very handy for us. The rooms and decor were a bit old for...

Booked a two night stay here. Had the four poster bedroom. Great location, a short walk into the town and harbour and though an uphill walk back to the lodge I didn't feel it was too bad at all. Lovely hosts and the breakfast was lovely, eggs cooked to perfection. Clean and comfortable. Plenty of tea/coffee on the hospitality tray....
