We thought our twin room was ok, nothing special and had clearly been redorated recently. The bathroom had a damp smell which we had to provide air freshner to dull. We stopped telling people our room was ok because there were so many complaints. We weren't aware of how many stairs there were and my mother with limited mobility found...

Having read previous reviews, which overall were not complementary, I was pleasantly surprised with the accommodation. OK some might not have had the best rooms but those who complained were dealt with pleasantly and offered different rooms. Personally I had no complaints - Food was good and room clean. Customers should not expect a 5 star hotel when on these...

Booked a New Year's holiday with National Holidays, it was very reasonable and the hotel allocated for the holiday was The Trecarn Torquay and that was misleading as it is situated in Babacombe. The hotel was reasonable for the price we paid, room was OK, warm, tea/coffee making facilities however there wasn't hot water it was just above cold. After...

We arrived at the hotel not having huge expectations as we had an amazing deal for £25 per room for New Year's Eve (including breakfast!). However when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised... The entrance into the hotel is large and fairly modern with a dance floor, lots of sofas and seating, with a bar. It was completely full and...

We have just returned home after spending the New Year weekend at The Trecarn. Our weekend started on the Friday evening when we arrived at the hotel. It was very foggy and damp and several people commented on how slippery the steps were to the entrance. The entrance reception rooms were very tired, there was damp stains on both the...
