This hotel was booked via bookings.com on the day of arrival - It was a last minute booking as we were in Bournemouth already, and had stayed at the Queens Hotel and Spa which was next door, and decided to stay an extra night - Unfortunately for us the Queens hotel was fully booked as there was a wedding on....

My wife and I had a weekend break and were pleasently suprised by the general state of the hotel and the very friendly service, but the room needed some loving care. Very hot due to heating pipes running along the walls. Wall paper comming off in several places. Cold water was hot, and the hot water scalding. The food was...

The room was scruffy, tv was 14" old portable from the 80's, wall paper was coming off and stained. I parked my car, had a drink, then they asked me to move it, and threatened me with the police. "excuse me sir why won't you drink and drive" Night porters can't change your room. Not their fault though, they were...

First impressions were disappointing, run down and need of a makeover. Our room was dungeon like with frosted/wired window so no outlook. The room was however clean and bedding crisp. The self service food was adequate but hygiene was left to be desired, jams marmalades and puddings left open on plates. Staff were friendly and polite. Its the old story...

Reading these horror stories above, I must have been lucky. It wasn't great. Tiny TV, boring decor and a few marks on the wall, but apart from that it was clean, the staff were friendly. Peculiar choice of wall decor which has obviously been blown up from thumbnails and is now pixilated but framed.. The mix matched room looked like...

We arrived at the hotel Last night, quite late as had gone straight from work. Arrived at the hotel to be met by a dubious looking exterior and an even more underwhelming main foyer. With people sitting around with carrier bags of beer and wine... Staff were friendly and check in was quick, and it is literally 2 mins from...

No matter how you see it, it doesn't make sense. Yes, one can argue that you get what you pay for. However having a relatively inexpensive accommodation does not mean that facility should not been maintained properly and clean. The state of the hotel and its room was outrageously rotten. No matter how cheap a hotel is, there should be...

I booked this hotel mainly because of the price being within my budget compared to the neighbouring hotels. After booking i was slightly worried due to the reviews i had read but i cant complain. I paid £20 for a room upgrade after the first room was really small and very muggy! The room we was moved to was perfect,...
