The room was freezing cold with a summer quilt on the bed in February seemed more like it was just a sheet which gave me very little sleep as I could not get warm, to top it of my dog which was my only sourse of warmth through the night cut his paw on something on the balcony

Dear Christophersimon This does not make for very good reading. I am so disappointed to learn we were not able to offer a more enjoyable experience when you visited with your partner and three dogs last Sunday night. We are still on our higher grade tog rated duvets at this time of year, despite it recently being the warmest Valentines Day in 21 years, we are conscientious it is a bit chilly in the mornings. In addition to the central heating, we have electric heaters and blankets if they are required. My colleagues were told that there was glass on the balcony that went into your dogs paw, with the glass splinter still in there. We are all, bar none, animal lovers and this news was really rather devastating for us. Now, I read in your comments above that it was 'possibly' glass. I have taken advice from my vet and he said (and this will probably be useful for future reference), if it is suspected that there is glass in an animals paw, then to wash the area with warm soapy water and try and remove the foreign body with clean tweezers. I understand that no objects were removed and the paw was bandaged in the evening. We did not find any glass on the balcony either. I agree with what my colleagues had conferred at check out. We would have given you tweezers free of charge to keep (we have them in the reception shop), let you know about the heater and extra blankets stored in your wardrobe or anything to assist with the stay. These were not excuses but instead our way of trying to help. Kind regards Daniel Associate Director

Booked the Queens hotel for a family stay in Leeds. Made to feel extremely welcome by Andrew the concierge. Andrew chatted to us, asked about us and made us feel very special, as well as parking our car. The hotel although maybe not too attractive from the outside is very Art

And from reading the kind words you have written I am pleased you enjoyed the visit there, with Andrew in the Concierge team as the stand out person. If you are looking for a holiday in Bournemouth in the future please do consider spending time with us. Kind regards Daniel

My partner and I get one child free weekend a year. We normally stay at Hotel Celebrity but fancied a change this year. We wish we hadn't. The first room we went into (room 402) was freezing, decor was awful and we were just so disappointed. My partner called the front desk and

Dear cyberkid I notice that you are still in house, having wrote this review a few hours into a three day holiday. I can see that my colleagues upgraded you, very shortly after check in, to a higher standard bedroom, which I am very pleased that they did. This sounds awful that there was a fault with the window; you should not have had to experience that and I very sorry that you did, as it is chilly outside at the moment. I know the bedroom you are in currently and in addition to the central heating which is on maximum at the moment, we have supplementary 1kW electrical heaters in the bedroom wardrobe. And we can provide extra if necessary. The bedroom, itself, is 30 metres square, so a red hot radiator and an electric heater should be sufficient. I am sympathetic to free speech on this forum, nevertheless, the manner in which my two, young colleagues have been subject to unfair vitriol here is not necessary, welcome or acceptable. No, there was not anything deficient with either of their attitudes or interactions, and I am sure in time the personal attack on them will be regretted. Please do dial zero and ask for me if you would like to discuss this further while you are staying with us or if you prefer you can email me: daniel@queenshotelbournemouth.com Kind regards Daniel Associate Director

Dear Eileen Thank you for your question. We do have entertainment on selected dates, examples of which could be music and dancing or video horse racing. I recommend to tell us when you are thinking of visiting and we can let you know if there is entertainment at that time. Kind regards Daniel Associate Director

There is a ramp into the hotel and a lift. The room we had had a small hall way and the bathroom definitely wasn't wheelchair friendly. May be worth phoning the hotel.
