The owner was very helpful and showed us around the room and how to use the facilities. The room and bathroom were clean, smelt fresh, and the bedroom...

Such value for money. Immaculate food excellent. Very clean and the hotelier coold not do enough for me. Would rather stay here and drive into Southampton. A victim of its own success though as you have to get there early to get a car park space

My expectations weren't high, purely because I have stayed at a lot higher star hotels in the area, booking Cecil's was a late booking (long story but booked even later for another night, via Booking.com). Arrived frazzled but treated immediately as a VIP, BP was already going down!!! Staff are very considerate, friendly and accommodating. Rooms are clean, nicely presented...

I'm sure I booked the room with breakfast as it's the £99 option. The cheaper one was £84. However when I arrived, I was told no breakfast included!! In addition, I got a call at 7pm and a text saying if I didn't call back my room would be cancelled. I noted the closing check in time was 9pm. There...
