A perfect place to host a birthday party for 90 year old mum and her twin sister, Nothing was too much trouble from having the idea to organising. The food was a gorgeous buffet for 40 guests and numerous children. The staff are so friendly everything went better than you could ever dream. We had a great pianist (Matt Black) brilliant...

We have been to this lovely hotel a few times before but not for about 3 years, when it was a 3 star hotel. Very pleased to see that it is now a 4 star hotel! Rooms and public areas have been refurbished and, as usual, the food lovely - especially the cooked breakfasts (although the taking of orders and...

Booked at the last minute, but we were able to get a sea view room with balcony which would have been great except it below freezing out and blowing a gale! But the room was lovely and comfortable with plenty of seating from which to look out over the waves. As mentioned elsewhere, this is a very traditional hotel and...

We always rely on The Hotel Miramar and its great staff for a warm welcome and relaxing break, it never disappoints. The staff are attentive without being patronising and the quality of food is always superb. This is a traditional quality hotel without being stuffy, the bedrooms are lovely and the public areas warm and welcoming.

We held my wife's surprise 50th birthday party at The Miramar recently and I have to commend every member of staff involved in making it such a memorable experience. From the senior managers like David Bailey and Theo Iakimov who I dealt with initially to the bar staff and chefs who supported us on the night all were an absolute...

Went to the Hotel Miramar for Sunday Lunch. We had a drink in the bar before lunch - nice views over the sea but shortage of seats. 3 course lunch is £21.75 - with choice of 3 starters, 4 mains and a range of hot or cold desserts. Generally the food was good with silver service of main course but...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am sorry to see that seating was an issue during your visit; our Sunday lunch is extremely popular and the hotel can get quite busy. I have passed on your comments regarding the vegetarian main course however I am glad to see that overall you enjoyed the food and...

Went to the Miramar as a family for a Sunday lunch to celebrate mother in law's 80th birthday. The hotel is very traditional and extremely popular with an elderly clientele. The food was very good as was the service. The hotel has clearly focused on serving its particular market very well. If you are over 65 and like quintessential English...

After numerous stays over 25 years with good, bad & indifferent reviews I’m delighted to report perfection. That’s perfection for this late 1940’s Bournemouth born man & his wife of similar vintage, who have no time for minimalism, style over substance, shiny chrome, baths in bedrooms & pretentious ‘boutique’ branding ( & pricing ) that so impresses other generations. Something...

Everything about our experience here was excellent from the professional but sympathetic phone calls to the actual tea. The very smart staff were attentive but unobtrusive and nothing was too much trouble. It has the air of an old fashioned seaside hotel but totally modern in approach and spotlessly clean.
