We really enjoyed our two nights in Dorchester and found the White House B&B the perfect accommodation. Enormous bed and a great ensuite bathroom with the most amazing hot chocolate I have tasted. The cooked breakfasts could sustain you for a day and we had to reduce our order on morning two just to finish it. We had been recommended... More

Thanks to Mr and Mrs Lees, our two night stay at the White House made a short break in Dorchester even more enjoyable. Our room was bright, airy, clean and very comfortable; it overlooked the rear gardens and so was quiet and the bed was so lovely that I wanted to bring it home with me. We had TV and... More

Friends booked this accommodation for us so it was a leap of faith. We need not have worried! What a terrific place to stay. Mrs Lees was so welcoming, the rooms were bright, airy and meticulously maintained, full breakfast was a feast each morning, it just couldn't have been any better. Thank you for a memorable stay in Dorchester.

We recommend Mrs Lees' coffe, it is excellent, even if very different compared with the italian. Ihe house is situated in a quite area, near the town centre, with... More

My wife and I stayed 5 nights to attend the Tolpuddle Martyr's Festival and get to know Hardy's Casterbridge. The B&B was ideally situated in a quiet residential area just outside the main town, close to buses and Dorchester South station and pub restaurants at reasonable prices, most valuable being old age pensioners without a car. The breakfast was excellent... More

After struggling on-line looking for accomodation for a close relatives wedding, I found the review of the Whitehouse and called up to see if space was available. Thankfully it was, and what a delight the Whitehouse turned out to be. The room was very large, king size bed, flat screen, excellent w/c facilities, and in a very quiet neighbourhood. Mrs... More

My wife and I had used Trip Advisor to identify several prospective B&Bs in Dorchester but, upon our arrival there late in the afternoon, found that none of them could accommodate us for our two-night stay. A visit to the Dorchester Tourist Information Centre (on Antelope Walk in the center of town) solved our problem. A Centre staff member identified... More
