This really is a hidden gem. Anyone that needs a quiet nights sleep after a busy day should stay here. Back to roots comes to mind! The food is delicious. The accommodation is super for the £££. The staff are very welcoming and friendly as are the locals! 👍🏻

Great Sunday carvery with a choice of 4 meats and lots of lovely vegetables. Nice, welcoming staff at this tucked away inn in the heart of Dorset countryside. The only downside was the pudding where only 3 out the 5 of us enjoyed it but this was down to the lack of cream which had ran out. Certainly a good...

A group of us went for a meal today as it had been recommended to us. From the out side the place looked great and inside we had an absolutely cracking Sunday lunch. Meat cooked to perfection great selection of veg and massive yorkshires. Topped off with a Good choice of puddings. Lovely pub great place will go again and...

We were passing and stopped for lunch. Staff were friendly and the food was very good. The tables were sticky and in general it needs a really deep clean as the chair cushions were not how they should be.

We turned up at half 5 for some food but they don't start serving untill 6 but were offered drinks and some menus to look at and our order was...

Looks beautiful from the outside but unfortunately service and food very poor. We were staying right opposite and thought it would be a great local eatery. We were wrong. Tried it twice but wouldn't recommend at all. Sorry.

Booked two nights in May for August [yesterday and the day before] so attend a wedding nearby. Apparantly, previous managers left at the end of July and seemingly in a bit of a rush. We'd been booked in for the wrong nights but that was sorted. It took a while for the new people to find keys and most entrance/exit...

Myself and the hubby plus two other couples stayed here a week or so ago. What can I say? Just a great couple of nights. I think it is about to undergo a change and so is being caretaker managed at the moment. And what a lovely, funny and down to earth person she is. And she has a great...
