We stayed four nights in September and had a lovely time. A very comfortable room overlooking the back garden so it was very peaceful at night and a modern ensuite with everything you would need. The breakfasts were delicious with home made jam, marmalade, muesli and fruit salad. I can recommend Mary's poached eggs! As a host Mary is very...

I stayed for 2 nights at this excellent bed and breakast. Mary could not have been more helpful. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bedlinen truly superb and ensuite facilities etc. brilliant. The breakfast was also marvellous. Rose Cottage is also well situated a short walk from the centre of Sherborne. Many thanks indeed Marilyn C Oakham

My husband and I stayed with Mary at Rose Cottage for a weekend while attending a wedding in Sherborne. We were able to park in the road opposite the cottage. The weather was pretty awful for April - hail storms etc., but Rose Cottage was snug and warm, the bed amazingly comfortable, lovely tea, coffee and biscuits available. Mary was the...

Mary's home is a homely place to stay, and she is a very welcoming and thoughtful host: nothing is too much trouble for her. She provided a delicious breakfast, and is very happy to adapt (e.g. vegetarian option or a lighter breakfast on the day when we knew we were going out for a large lunch). She puts a small...
