Went in at 7.30 this evening...immediately greeted by staff who remembered us. Fantastic and fast service; left alone to work quietly with no interruptions with our drinks; wifi connexion superb! Food lovely looking as it came out...succumbed to a snack which came out piping hot and immediately! Perfect in early spring with fire, great wine would definitely go for a...

Found ourselves tired and hungry in Sherborne last night and popped into the nearest pub for some supper. What a find! The staff were so welcoming and the food was absolutely delicious. We had the hot rocks sirloin steak with super chips, roasted tomatoes and a good salad. Worth a trip from our home in Bournemouth to Sherborne specially to...

Although I currently live abroad, Sherborne is my much-loved home town and my husband and I always try to make time for a visit when in the UK. This time round, our visit to the Plume was the first since the change of management and O, what a difference. The new decor is superbly done, the delightful barmaid (Joanne) couldn't...

Popped in here over the weekend as heard it had been refurbished, which it has done and the place is unrecognisable (for the better). A friendly welcome is always good and this was evident from the start. They have cleverly split it into 3 areas with a snug room at the front then a long room with TV and seating...

Just returned home after a meal for two at the Plume and cannot rate it highly enough !!! - myself and my partner decided to go for the "hot rocks - surf and turf" which is made up of steak, scallops and prawns that you cook yourself at the table - not only was this good fun but both pieces...

We popped in here for Sunday roast without prior booking. We received a lovely welcome and the service was very good. We ordered the roast beef and lamb and it was very tasty and plenty of it. The price was £13.95 which is plenty but I couldn't fault the food. It's certainly worth a try and the decor has been...

We visited the newly refurbished Plume of Feathers which is now under new ownership and management for our anniversary. My husband and I both had the Beef roast which was cooked beautifully by the head chef Marie. The meat was so tender and melted in the mouth and the vegetables were fresh and delicious. The portions are very large, unfortunately...

We came as members of a walking group of 17 people and everyone was very pleased with their meal. The service was attentive and the food from the light bites lunch menu was delicious. We live in the area and would never have considered bringing anyone here in the past. There are teething problems (their wifi was down) but we...

This pub before was a bit run down. Now it's been refurbished very nicely. Went in for a meal off the lunchtime menu which was good. It serves sandwiches, jacket potatoes, fish & chips, sausage and mash, ploughmans and soup of the day. Great improvement on before!!

It is no secret that the newly refurbished Plume have experienced teething problems. Today was my fourth visit and I was joined by seven discerning diners from the Sherborne U3A. We ordered roasts and the locally sourced meats were good; rare beef, and tender pork. Vegetables, although not exciting, were cooked well and it was lovely to taste star anise...

We are a family and dog-friendly pub. With not only baby changing facilities and high chairs, we can also cater to your little-one’s needs in the kitchen.
