This Place is a complete mess from the Staff to the cleaning and no advice when you arrive all the camping pitches are a joke the only thing that is good is you can leave early and go somewhere else. This place is designed for people who thinking drinking at 1030 in the morning is a good thing. Avoid

Thank you for your review, I am surprised that you even bothered to unpack; it is obvious to us that you are completely prejudiced against our campsite. We have recently been inspected by the AA who are recommending us to be upgraded to a four star site from three. All our Staff are fully trained and every customer is shown...

We as a couple and a group of friends have used this site for the last 8 years or so. It is a fantastic location with views from the fields down to Swanage. Herston steam train just down the lane and 15 to 20 minute walk into Swanage. We have camped this year so far 4 times here and will...

Just back from a 3 night camping trip, staying on one of the basic sites. Checking in was quick and site fees are good for the facilities. The field was not too busy, nice even ground and plenty of space, showers and loos basic but cleaned regularly although the shower facilities near the main reception area are very good, and...

We camped at Herston for all of carnival week and after reading the negative reviews on this site I feel I must write a positive blog about our stay. We were extremely lucky to have glorious weather and were greeted by the friendly campsite staff on arrival even though it was a Friday evening and the park was getting busier....

if you like being crammed into a tiny space and sharing your holiday with hundreds of others, whilst having inadequate toilet/shower facilities and being kept awake all night by music from the club then this is the campsite for you! their website needs updating the reviews and info on there are from 2011 and i think things may have changed...

Thank you for your comments I would like to respond to your points in turn: You do not make it clear when you stayed at our campsite, but it appears that it may have been when one of the major events was taking place in Swanage, naturally this is when the site is at its busiest, we are the closest...

Farmhouse was very large, bit dated interior, plus the locks on the back door and side door didn't work so we had to push a chair against it at night time. Hot tub was great though. Very close to swanage town and the beach, a 15 minute walk.

What is potentially a superb site is ruined by extremely poor facilities for tent campers at the far end of the site. They were poorly maintained and the gents toilet was filthy and the toilet seat had been removed. They have bell tents so called "Glamping") next to this facility and hardly creates the right impression there. Two "family" shower...

Stayed here for a week camping on the prebooked campsite. 4 adults and a toddler(25th july-1st august) Initial impressions were good, nice large campsite (far bigger than initially thought actually) with seemingly lots of facilities on offer. 'Checking in' was ok, did this at the caravan reception, although there seemed to be some confusion over the size of the pitch...

Well what can I say about this site? We stayed on the camping field ( returned home today )....."apologies for no hot water" .."will be back on in a day or two" the lady on the camping reception trailer told me after a day or two on site. Truly disgusting gents toilets. Some " customer " had taken a poo...

Thank you for your comments. When you state that there was no hot water, I presume that you are referring to the shower block next to our Yurt village. I concur that indeed the boiler had broken done and as soon as this was reported the problem was investigated and the relevant spare parts ordered. As soon as they were...

We have been camping at this site for 5 years, always on Carnival weekend. We absolutely love the location, right by the steam train and only a 10 - 15 minute walk into Swanage. The relaxed feel to the site is fab when camping as a big group which is what we always do. The family field is big and...

Thank you for your comments You will be pleased to hear that new amenities have been ordered for the camping fields and these should be installed ready for use by the 2015 season, which I believe will alleviate most of your concerns.
