Love staying here, and have many times while visiting family. The staff are very helpful and we had an excellent meal on NYE party night, which included a welcome bucks fizz, a meal and disco and champagne for a toast before midnight. A jolly crowd attending. The breakfast the following morning was excellent. Lovely views. Small plunge pool and jacuzzi...

We had a lovely afternoon tea at the Grand Hotel. Superb setting overlooking Swanage bay made even more spectacular due to the weather conditions. We arrived a little early but it was not a problem, we were shown to our table in the conservatory with the great sea views and brought a pot of tea, most welcome after a bracing...

We were a party of eight and a number of us felt it was like Fawlty Towers. This was probably due to the meal on the first night of our stay. We were told they were busy so we had to have our meal at 7 pm which was really earlier than we would have liked. There was no rush...

Stayed here for two days 'twixmas' break - between Xmas and new year - the Grand is a really nice place to stay, some would say dated but I say 'restored and decorated in the original style'. It is run by helpful, friendly, professional staff who go out of their way to make your stay as good as possible. The...

Have just surfaced from an amazing evening at The Grand's Christmas party night. The food was of a very high standard and the staff friendly and helpful. The homemade mince pies that followed the 3 course meal were something to die for. There was a good party atmosphere in the disco, all excellent value for money. A great way to...

Had a 2 night break while visiting family in the area, some of the reviews we read were not too good but we really enjoyed our stay there, friendly staff, good food at very reasonable prices, a very welcoming foyer/loung area and a lovely conservatory bar area with stunning views across Swanage bay, some of the reviews said the hotel...

A lovely time. Staff are always friendly and very helpful. Very good atmosphere. Ate in the restaurant and bar. Food was excellent. Good local produce. Lovely spa and massage facilities. Stunning views across the bay if you book a Seaview. Would definitely recommend a short break here.

My husband and I just spent a lovely relaxing couple of days in The Grand Hotel overlooking Swanage Bay. Although a little dated and tired, mainly in the bedroom and corridor areas, it was very clean and the friendliness of staff more than made up for it. We will certainly be back, hopefully when the weather is warmer so that...
