My husband and I visit Brighton regularly and thought we would try this hotel as it was offering a good deal at £80 per night. We were allocated room 306 after a very busy day of business and travelling and we were looking forward to a nice relaxing bath and chilling in a nice restaurant followed by a lovely lie... More

Not sure why the reviews are so bad to be honest! I stayed for one night and it was the cheapest hotel I could find in the area. For what I paid I was very pleased with the hotel. It wasn't luxury but it wasn't bad... clean and gave me a comfortable bed for the night. Just what I needed.... More

Frequently 'day trip' to Brighton but took advantage of 'Wowcher deal' to spend a few nights here; so glad we did!! From Milada (who booked us into one of the best rooms in this hotel!) through to Mohammed (a duty manager that made the time to sit down & chat with us for a while after we'd checked out) our... Absolutely horrible! Would never ever stay there again. Would recommend any other place this is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Rude staff, filthy, old rooms with broken furniture! By far the worst hotel!

Room was very tired. On arrival the receptionist told us that she had upgraded us to sea view. The room was full of old battered pine furniture, which needed to be thrown away and changed. the bathroom had a mouldy smell and overall was really disappointing. On the upside breakfast was included and was reasonable

I took my wheelchair bound wife on a 2 night break and booked a disabled room as this hotel advertises that it is disabled friendly, alarm bells started to ring when steps to get into the hotel greeted us, we were directed to a side door with steps and a 2 temporary fibreglass type ramps were placed onto the steps,... Room 434 on 4th floor triple aspect Seaview windows perfect. Room and hotel clean,. Decor to be expected in such a old, character full building. Breakfast fine, didn't go hungry, but don't be late it is cleared away very promptly at 10am. Staff courteous and helpful. Would stay here again.

Hotel location is probably one of the best. We stayed here for 1 night on a saturday at a cost of £100. A little queue in reception but seen quickly, we were given room 40 which is on the corner of the hotel with a seaview on our way to the room the carpets were filthy in all hallways. The... More

For me as a first time visitor to Brighton, my husband & I visited this hotel as a 'pit stop' break before seeing "The Dead Daisies" in The Concorde Club along the sea front. Well, although this is a rather tired stylish old hotel we rather enjoyed our stay. We spent an hour and a half in the hotel lounge... More
