Stayed here on Thursday night as visiting Brighton Centre for a concert. Very efficient check in and car parking organisation. We had problems with our television reception and called down to ask for some help and Miriam swiftly sprung into action and on hearing the problem was

Situated on the sea front which is handy for everywhere. The Room was rather nice and the staff helpful and friendly. Dinner was a bit weird. A tiny little starter which was laughable really followed by a chicken plate with huge chips and then again a tiny dessert. many of the

Had a nice couple of days stay here, very close walking distance to everything good to see in Brighton! Staff very welcoming and were great with our dog who stayed with us in the room. A dog bed and bowl were provided for him and some other things at an extra cost per night but

I am 61 year old and in my job as well as socialising have visited hundreds of hotels in my life but I can honestly say this the most noisiest one I have ever had the pleasure (escuse the pun) in stopping in.The alarm bells started ringing when we got into our room (510) and

I am very disappointed to read your review. I am sorry to see that your stay with us was one that was not up to the standard of which we here at The Old Ship Hotel Brighton hold ourselves. If I could ask you to make contact with me regarding your stay either by e-mail daniel.reed@oldshipbrighton.co.uk or by phone 01273 329001 as I am unable to find you in room 510 as you advised. I would be very interested in finding out what room you actually stayed in with us and then I can consult with my relevant department heads to discover why your stay with us was as you found it, and to ensure that this never happens again where possible. Being a seafront city centre hotel it is very hard for us to control the noise out side that surrounds us on the streets but when we are informed we will do our upmost to assist where we can in making sure you have a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Again I would like to extend my apologies to you. Should you wish to discuss this any further please do email me on daniel.reed@oldshipbrighton.co.uk Kind Regards Daniel Reed Deputy General Manager

If you want a spa and gym the old ship isn't for you. As I said in my review the hotel offers really well presented public areas and great staff, rooms are clean and suitably equipped. Who sits in a room and stares at the sea when in Brighton?
