The room was very clean and the room its self nice. Bathroom had a painted metal bath and awful shower pressure. The communal corridors feel like they've not had a refit for years. It was Saturday night and the noise from people partying was so loud we couldn't open the windows. That said it's in the heart of party land...

Visited here to have a well deserved refreshment on a very hot day, the service was very good, though a little over priced, but that said it had a good view, decent beer and comfortable chairs overlooking the beach.

I got put in this hotel by EasyJet after being delayed overnight at Gatwick. The hotel is situated right by the sea with some great views. Also central to bars, clubs & restaurants. The staff were friendly and checked me in quickly, rooms were big, needs to be refurbished I think, beds are comfy, clean. Breakfast was included & was...

The reception area of this hotel is very pleasant, as is the seating area outside on he seafront on a beautiful day. The lift was the first sign that parts of the hotel need updating, and this extends to the upstairs hall and stairways and the shower in my room at least. However the location is fab as is the...

I stayed at the old ship in August and whilst the location and bar area are very smart, the room I was given was practical but tired. If you're booking a standard room be mindful that these don't have air conditioning and the decor has seem better days. If you can handle this, you'll be in for a decent stay....

Stayed for one night's bed and breakfast with an additional sparkling afternoon tea on the day of arrival. First need to know is the hotel has a car park! Well worth the £25 per night in Brighton as it is secure and pedestrian access through the hotel so no need to offload bags in the parking space on the sea...

Have read all the negative reviews, and while some guests seem to have genuine concerns, I thought this place was great. Yes, it was a little noisy, but if you need total silence to sleep then maybes don't book a hotel room on Brighton sea front......
