Catherine who owns the Oriental was an extremely friendly host and nothing was too much trouble. She offered advice about good places to eat and other useful information. We had a fabulous breakfast with flexible check out arrangements that allowed us to continue exploring Brighton.

The Oriental is really lovely. The staff were friendly. The room was clean and warm and nice. The building is a nice old terrace. The breakfast was probably the best hotel breakfast i've ever had. The cocktail menu looked great!

We were welcomed by the manager with hot tea and kind words. He is also very knowledgeable about the history of Brighton. The decor of the ground floor is very attractive with a sofa which reminded me of Dali's Mae West red sofa. We were given an intimate double room on the top floor. There was ample natural light in...

I took my boyfriend to Brighton for a surprise birthday treat. Andrew the hotel manager couldn't have been any more helpful in helping me surprise my boyfriend with little treats/gifts in our room. Location was near the sea front, which made it handy to take a nice stroll to the end of the road and to near by shops, as...

We stayed at the Oriental for two nights. Terrific welcome from Andrew. Great cocktails and lovely full English breakfast. The place was arty and quirky (in a good way). We loved the mosaic tables in the breakfast area. Nice clean room with balcony and comfortable bed and good location. Would definitely stay again. The friendly atmosphere would be a big...

Nice room, warm welcome, good bathroom. Great breakfast. all you need from a B&B. I was there just for one night but really could not have asked for more at such a reasonable price. I would go back there again no problem indeed

We just returned from a 2 day stay in Brighton. We enjoyed the hotel and Andrew made us feel very welcome indeed. The room we had was at the front on the second floor. Very clean and tidy with some nice attention to detail. Great full English in the breakfast room. The place itself was quite arty but would suit...

I've tried hard to find a criticism of my stay but I really can't. The staff were excellent, friendly and helpul. The rooms were clean and brilliantly appointed (I still miss my memory foam mattress!). Nothing was to much trouble and the whole weekend was marked by litle touches that made all the difference (chocolates on arrival, a breakfast bag...
