Julie and Melina were perfect hosts, and the B&B clean and comfy. The breakfast was made by hand in the mornings and we couldn't have asked for a better weekend. Really close to the sea and shops, quiet and good sized rooms.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a night and thoroughly enjoyed it; the room was very clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. The ladies who ran the place were friendly and breakfast was made to order. Also a great location, being only a minute's walk to the beach and 10 minutes from the centre. I would recommend!

Right from beginning they could not have more helpful. Melina helped me get a parking space which I secured with a 24 hour permit then! Then was shown to my immaculate room which had everything you need and for breakfast I had been ask the day before what I would like and I had said fruit please and toast. They...

Very welcoming, room immaculate and breakfast amazing! Julie and Melina were very helpful, offering a map of the area and advice on places to go etc. We were attending a gig so didn't have a chance to explore much but we will definitely be visiting again very soon. You can purchase a 24hour parking permit from one of the owners...

I stayed here with a friend in November 2016 and had a wonderful time. It’s in a great location- close to the seafront and only a 15 minute walk to the train station. The room was bright and clean and there were lots of little touches that we liked, especially the light up mirror in the bathroom! We also really...

Stayed at Cowards for a last minute New Years Eve stop over. Owners were very welcoming and friendly. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The location is fantastic as just a minutes walk to the seafront, shops, bars and restaurants. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious served in the attractive and airy breakfast room. All in all a great little...

I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Brighton. Just a really good place to stay. This was my second time at Cowards, its everything I hope for; clean, everything’s working, affordable, and a breakfast made by somebody who obviously cares about the food leaving the kitchen (thanks Melina for the consistently excellent breakfast). But what’s really pleasing about Cowards are...

I stayed here for two nights with a couple of friends as we were competing in the Brighton and Hove Triathlon and in summary I cannot recommend this place enough!! The guest house is located a short 10 minute walk from the pier and is around the corner from a shopping parade with local restaurants/cafes/pubs and shops, so it is...

I stayed at this guest house for two nights when I was in Brighton for a conference at the Brighton Centre. It is in a good location in the Kemptown area, about 20 minutes walk from the train station, 15 minutes from the Brighton Centre and about 5 minutes to the seafront. One of the hosts greeted me when I...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Named for its connection to the English playwright Noël Coward, our guest house has the charm and elegance of the regency period. We offer our guests a comfortable and friendly atmosphere in a central, yet quiet location. For our best rates, particularly for longer stays, feel free to contact us directly either by telephone or by email. We are situated in the conservation area of Kemptown, the famous gay village, with its plethora of restaurants, cafes and pubs. The beach is only a few minutes walk away as are the pier and Brighton Pavilion. Kemptown, a key shopping area in Brighton since the late 18th century, continues to host a number of independent retailers and flea markets, while The Lanes and North Laine are also nearby. Our Regency townhouse, built around 1807, has six bedrooms that are individually furnished with your comfort in mind.
