I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Brighton. Just a really good place to stay. This was my second time at Cowards, its everything I hope for; clean, everything’s working, affordable, and a breakfast made by somebody who obviously cares about the food leaving the kitchen (thanks Melina for the consistently excellent breakfast). But what’s really pleasing about Cowards are... More

I stayed here for two nights with a couple of friends as we were competing in the Brighton and Hove Triathlon and in summary I cannot recommend this place enough!! The guest house is located a short 10 minute walk from the pier and is around the corner from a shopping parade with local restaurants/cafes/pubs and shops, so it is... More

I stayed at Coward’s guesthouse for two nights in September with a couple of friends as we were competing in the inaugural Brighton & Hove Triathlon. It is located in a perfect area of the city that is close enough to the train station to walk, is a short stroll to the seafront?Pier and has many great bars and restaurants... More

I stayed at this guest house for two nights when I was in Brighton for a conference at the Brighton Centre. It is in a good location in the Kemptown area, about 20 minutes walk from the train station, 15 minutes from the Brighton Centre and about 5 minutes to the seafront. One of the hosts greeted me when I... More

Would definitely stay again. My partner, Kath and I, were visiting Brighton for the August Bank Holiday Mod Weekender and were made very welcome by Julie and Melina ( - and Dusty, the dog!). Nice big room, spotlessly keen and a great breakfast to boot! Complimentary biscuits and bottles of water too. In a good location, close to amenities.

The proprietors, Julie and Melina were warm and welcoming and as helpful as they could be. The room was lovely and had everything we needed. In the morning we had a lovely full English breakfast. The guesthouse is in a good location, a couple of hundred metres from the seafront but also close to the racecourse. Even before you get... More

Had a very enjoyable weekend at Cowards. Room spacious with nice added touches of white fluffy towels and cookies. Room bright, clean and spacious. Julie and Melina are very friendly and accommodating and do a five star breakfast. We were also close to the Lanes, the beach and a variety of bars and restaurants. Will definitely be visiting again.Would recommend... More

Its a small and very friendly B&B close to all amenities, the Lanes, beach, Pavillion, shops and Marina and also close to bus stops if you want to venture further afield. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts and had plenty of information on what was going on and where to go. The breakfasts were one of the best... More

We stayed at Cowards for a couple of nights as our daughter really wanted to see Brighton. Julie greeted us when we arrived and couldn't of been more helpful. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and again both Julie and Melina were very friendly. Everything was spotlessly clean and tidy. We wouldn't hesitate in staying there... More
