Travelodge Brighton offers a comfortable stay with its clean and spacious rooms, though some guests highlight dated decor and occasional uncleanliness. The hotel's atmosphere is generally lively, especially during events, and the location is appreciated for its proximity to local attractions and transport. While the noise level can be bothersome for some, many find the hotel to be a good value, citing reasonable rates for amenities, despite mixed reviews on Wi-Fi and parking. The service is often commended for its friendliness and efficiency, although not without some reports of inconsistency.

I was naturally quite hesitant to book this hotel as I’d read horror story reviews but my hands were tied for hotels with parking.. so I bit the bullet and was pleasantly surprised! The whole hotel was under renovation upon arrival, the reception was clean and bright with an easy to use vending machine after a long car journey, the staff that welcomed me were glowing and extremely kind. Despite workers and obvious renovation work being around it was such a nice start to my trip! I was hopeful after seeing some other rooms in passing also under renovation. Got to my room. My jaw dropped. Huge spacious room, clean as anything, with a huge set of windows and a stunning view overlooking what I think is called ‘Lovers Walk’ too! Nothing at all like I read online. Fresh paint, fresh carpet, fresh bedsheets and towels, even the hanging closet, chairs, and workstation were all brand new. Bathroom was spotless. Tea and coffee provided. The bed was plush and so good to hit my head on after my day was over (both nights). Woke up to gorgeous sun peering through the curtain gaps where I didn’t pull them all the way over. It really looks like things are looking up for this Travelodge. I paid roughly £300 for two nights, not including parking costs, so it’s definitely on the slightly expensive side now considering it’s a major chain hotel and how much of a gamble it was at the time, though I’ll definitely be revisiting if I have to stay at Brighton again! I was very anxious leaving my car there as it can be quite cramped!

We stayed here for 2 nights at the beginning of October.
We were lucky enough to get a space on the car park, it is small and very tight. It costs £7 for 24 hours but if you leave after you’ve paid you aren’t guaranteed a space when you get back.
We opted to pay for the car park for 48 hours and used the bus which stops right outside to get into the town centre and into Hove which was really simple and was £8 for both us for 24 hours.
We did walk down to the local shops McDonald’s/Taco Bell, Aldi, several pubs are around 15-20 mins walk away.

We stayed in a double room which was spacious although I feel some of the space in the room was water and could have been used in the bathroom to make that less cramped.
Unfortunately we had a view straight into the car park and offices next door and our curtains did not close properly which was frustrating at night.
We also had a problem when the room upstairs flushed their toilet we had an awful noise in our room and bathroom as the system ran through.

We stayed for breakfast on our second morning which started off tricky as there were only tables with high bar stools available to sit at. The regular tables (of which their aren’t many) we’re all taken. The food choice is ok and everything is regularly replenished but I do not feel it was good value for money, especially with the lack of restaurant space for the size of hotel.

We got a good deal for the nights that we stayed and we do like the travelodge brand and we are loyal customers but if we had paid more I would have been very disappointed in our stay.

Note: I have passed on my feedback to the manager of this travelodge before posting here and he stated that the issues with the room were going to be looked at and provided me with a 50% voucher as a gesture of goodwill.

It's in a nice part of Brighton but it's not an easy walk if you have to do it 2-3 times a day. It's a Travelodge so I didn't expect much but I expected my WiFi to work straight away without having to type in all details I have already filled in to book the hotel! There should've been an extra hand towel as only one was provided for two people. It's time that Travelodge provide decent-sized TVs in their bedrooms, ideally with basic catch up TV. While the stay was nice, it certainly didn't worth the almost £140.00 a night rate. For those who would like a decent breakfast for a reasonable price, cross the road and go to Rotunda Cafe inside the Preston Park which is just a 2 minute walk from the hotel.

We stayed at this Travelodge for 4 nights, along with our dog. We had a double room overlooking Preston Park. It was very spacious compared to other Travelodges we have stayed at. The hotel was very clean, and staff very friendly and helpful. We had a minor problem with the shower, which was seen to straight away.. Parking is £7/day which is very reasonable for Brighton, or free if you have a Blue Badge. The parking lot is quite busy, but we were always able to find a spot. There is bus stop nearby if you are coming from the main Brighton station, or about a 20 minute walk. With the park across the street, it is ideal if you have a pet with you. We found the location to be a lot cleaner and quieter than many of the seafront hotels. The only minor suggestion we have is that it might be helpful to have a doorbell or similar at reception and at the bar/dining room so staff know someone needs assistance. We really enjoyed our stay and can highly recommend,

The Travelodge at Preston Park Brighton is an ideal location for visiting Brighton city centre. It's a 20 minute walk into the city and there are very regular bus services from just outside the hotel. The rooms have recently been refurbished and are clean, modern, comfortable and spacious. The staff are also very friendly and helpful with advice about buses, things to do etc. Although the dining room is small, the breakfast was very good value for a family as the children ate free. All in all, a very positive experience and I'd definitely recommend this Travelodge.

Booked in for a 1 night stay. On arrival we were given room 502 which had a great view overlooking Preston Park. The room itself was very spacious, fresh and clean. The 2 USB charging points on each side of the bed were a welcome addition as the previous nights stay in another Travelodge didn't have any. The shower was great, hot and powerful. Parking is limited for the size of the hotel but we noticed that there were empty spaces throughout our stay but there is a charge to park. We paid £7 for 24hrs which was fine as Parking anywhere in Brighton is expensive. We decided to leave the car there and take the bus into town and at £11 for 2 all day saver tickets was good value. The restaurant is very small and we decided not to book breakfast as we would have been sat waiting for a table to become free, a good call seeing the queue in the morning. We will definitely book into this hotel again if we ever need or want to visit Brighton in the future.

We went as a family and had a super time.
The hotel is in a great location and we stayed in a lovely large room overlooking Preston Park.
The town centre is about 25-30 mins walk away.
The room was first class and brilliant value for money. The breakfast too was very fresh and the icing on the cake was children eating free.
The staff were all very accommodating too.
Highly recommended.

We stayed here the first week of August (7 nights). Our room was a family room on the eighth floor which was a fantastic size with great views over Preston Park, ideal to watch the Pride Concert on the Saturday night! The room was clean and tidy and I even liked the original Artex ceiling, took me back in time!
Breakfasts were excellent, we also ate in the Bistro every night and the food was perfectly acceptable. We did have a couple of problems, IE food turning up not being what we actually orderered/ long delay on our last night despite the Bistro being virtually empty.
My only real complaint about the food experience was that the cutlery, and to a lesser extent, the crockery was generally not clean. You need to address your dishwashing practices. Please excuse my nitpicking!
The hotel has reasonably priced onsite parking, although as it is also a public car park, spaces are not guaranteed. I found a good parking space and left my car there all week. The hotel is ideally placed for either a 20/25 minute walk into town or there is a bus stop directly opposite, perfect!.
All the staff that we encountered were fantastic (Even the grumpy cook! didn't catch his name) A big thank you to all of you.
And so in summary, we really enjoyed our stay in this particular Travelodge and it was good value for money. We would/ will probably stay here again......

A special shout out to Jamie the manager and Kelly who we met during our stay. We will will definitely be returning in the near future.

Last minute trip to see our son in Brighton. Receptionist was lovely but she allocated us a room which had been in direct sunlight for 4 hours. The temperature in the room was around 40 degrees when we entered! A fan is provided and the windows have such minimal opening width, we couldn't disperse the heat! We were also more than concerned when the lovely lady on Reception stated that security has been brought in for this evening! What were they expecting? For more on this read on.

It was all downhill after that! We had a lovely evening in Brighton and returned to the Travelodge about midnight. This hotel is stag & hen central and there were people running around the corridors all night/morning as we sat and sweltered in our room. There was constant knocking on doors as the drunken revellers either couldn't find their own rooms or thought it would be fun to wake everyone up!

We didn't sleep at all and couldn't wait to leave!

Will we back? Not on your nelly. If I had paid up to, say, £50 then fair enough but being of the older generation, paying £175 for an over with a virtually unused bed, no thank you!

Hello, no to the air conditioning, but the heaters are great. We went in February. As someone else has said there are windows which open, but if you are at the front of the building it is next to a busy road which leads in to Brighton.
