We stayed in the twin bedroom which had a very nice view across the Downs to Brighton. On a good day you can just see the sea. Rooms are clean, spacious and welcoming; We slept very well, to be awoken in the morning by the local wildlife. No traffic sounds here! Our hosts were very friendly, and helpful. We will...

We had a lovely night at Middown House; the room was big, with great shower and comfortable bed. The owners were most friendly and helpful, and the full English breakfast beautifully cooked. The room had a stunning view across the farmland with a glimpse of the sea.

Stunning views from this working farmhouse across the South Downs towards the coast. A perfect haven for a relaxing few days with the friendliest hostess, thank you Jayne, who made us feel like we were staying with friends. Breakfast was plentiful and brilliant with home grown produce, enjoyed looking out over the Downs. Used the Park & Ride from Withdean...

Wanted somewhere to stay after Leeds United travelled down to play Brighton on Monday 29 February and stumbled upon this Guest House when looking on Trip Advisor; and what a gem. We could have opted for a characterless/lifeless hotel in the centre of Brighton but so pleased that we decided to venture a little out of the centre of Brighton....

Thank you so much for your review. I loved having you both to stay. One thing to mention is that the council may have found some money to spend on the road this spring. I hope a better access road won't spoil the charm of our rural location!

We were lucky to find this B & B by searching on Google. This beautiful working farmhouse has two ensuite rooms which have glorious views over the south downs. This is run by Jane and Tim, we did not see much of Tim, as I say this is a working farm, but Jane looked after us and a more welcome...

Stayed here in late February after a brutal walk in terrible weather. All I have to say about this B&B is the owners made us feel so welcome, the hot shower was priceless and the nights sleep long and comfortable. We are returning again this month but hope the weather is better!

I stayed at Middown House for the first 2 weeks of March, and I can honestly say it is the nicest B&B that I have ever stayed in. A spacious room with a power shower, lovely surroundings, a hearty breakfast and a lovely hostess. My only concern was with my Vauxhall Corsa and the 1.5 mile single file pot-holed access...
