We spend a beautiful week-end in Hotel du Vin last week with my boyfriend. The room was looking really nice, the bar was great. We ate once at the bistro unfortunately the service and the food were not as great as the rest of the hotel. The only point which was perfect is the reception, Cassandra helped us with all...

We came away just the 2 of us leaving the kids at home! The staff were lovely and welcoming and the room clean and comfortable. The bar is a great place to sit and have a drink before heading out (and a nightcap!) and the breakfast was delicious! Oh and the location is perfect.

We love eating at the Hotel Du Vin in Cambridge but this was first time we had stayed at the hotel. And the last. We were told this was a room with a sea view. Which it was if you stood on your tip toes and peered over the bed head the blocked most of the window. We had a...

Had a brilliant night away here. Quirky room which was clean and well maintained. Friendly check in. Difficult getting a table on a Saturday night though so book on check in rather than trying to be spontaneous!

Great hotel with really friendly vibe. All the staff were great. Room was really special. Bar area was buzzing and breakfast was 1st class this morning. A really good location also just a few metres from the sea front.

Clean, well-appointed rooms. Lovely common parts to hotel. Looks much loved and well looked after. Service discreet and professional. Food very good. Comfortable bar area where you can sit happily and read a book and not be disturbed.

We used to love Hotels du Vin. We've had a great time years back in Edinburgh and Cheltenham, but both this and the Bristol one need some love. The central area is still great for a drink (we didn't try the food) but our room was tiny. I'm only five seven and the bed was barely long enough for me....

I stayed here the end of March this year for 2 nights. Upon arrival i checked in (early). My room was not available but the checkin process was quick and easy and my bags were kept safe for later delivery to my room. The hotel was extremley busy with a function and lots of sunday lunch custoomers. I waited in...

Sunday Lunch time drinks on the balcony of Hotel du Vin " should be lovey".... but.very disappointing.... Dirty glass top of tables, obviously heavily stained from the night before, every table dirty....and with dried Seagull poo!!..... How can you open the doors for business without checking the tables....it's not a large area, which is beside the point.... Had a word...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel du Vin Brighton is situated in the Lanes conservation area, a pebbles' throw from the seafront. Its 49 bedrooms are housed in a collection of eccentric Gothic revival and mock Tudor buildings erected, appropriately by a wine merchant on the site of an old inn. Among many interesting features are a heavily carved staircase and bizarre gargoyles, while the original double-height hall now houses the wine bar and Laroche tasting room. The perfect venue for a picturesque wedding or party is the impressively large and airy Dome room. For the best tankered of local ale, Pub du Vin is one of Brighton city center's treasures with its classic pub dining. Out with the Brighton hotel is the wonder and inspiring town itself, with quaint streets dotted with fabulous shops, and of course the famous pier and promenade. ... more   less
