Friendly and warm welcome at this pub, both by the staff and the fire. The place has a very good buzz and there is a good mix of 'locals' enjoying their pint and 'visitors ' in to enjoy a wide food menu. The choice was good and great value for money. Was recommended the winter wine and it did not...

Just stayed one nght. The location is great and the rooms are nice. You have breakfast in your room. Plenty of tea and coffee and decent biscuits. The bed is comfortable if a little creaky. Just warn you, it is right on a street and the windows are thin so it can get noisy if you are a light sleeper. Also...

Having established they had a darts team via the local league website my wife & I decided to look at their own website. Nice menu & food served until 9pm. Great we thought. Arrived and ordered drinks @ 8.20 and couldn't find any menus. Asked at the bar and advised the kitchen was closed. Also advised that dartboard only put...

My wife and I had three nights here, first night was a bit raucous but the other two were fine. staff were friendly and helpful. They even put their self out at my request to get a small birthday cake for my wife's birthday on the Sunday, and didn't charge me. Breakfast's are great and on time, great beer too....

I visited here last night with some friends for a bite to eat as the place we originally wanted wasn't open! But we were so glad we did.. The ambience, atmosphere and people in general were fantastic. The staff were very attentive and friendly too. Will definitely be revisited and spreading the word. I had the steak off the menu...

The Market Inn is not a hotel but, as the name suggests, it is an Inn, i.e., a pub with rooms. My wife and I stayed at The Market Inn for three very comfortable nights in a spacious bay windowed room overlooking The Lanes. Our room was over the bar area but there was no discernible noise intrusion that bothered...

Nice traditional style pub with outside seating area. We ordered drinks and food, friendly staff, in a nice location, fish and chips X 2 £12.00. Good value in pleasant surroundings, would recommend it.

My wife and I ate lunch here whilst doing a tour of the Lanes. We were tempted in by the 2x Fish & Chips for £12 which we thought was quite reasonable for the south coast. It did take a while to arrive but to be fair the place was reasonably busy at the time. Bar staff were friendly and...

We have just visited this pub with a friend for lunch. Our friend's meal came out 20 minutes before ours did and we had to enquire twice about where our food was. After my boyfriend asked, they did give us a couple of free soft drinks to go with our meals. When our friend asked for one, the waitress said...

This is a traditional English pub. Cosy and comfortable seating and a warm welcome from the staff. A good selection for lunch which we had but the menu for dinner looked good as well and we will be back to try it. Not expensive and a great place to eat in the center of Brighton
